Hi, this is my first time posting here.
I am a complete bookworm who is fascinated by
the joys of writing.

Here is a random poem I came up with,
from the top of my head:

' Tea is the essence of relaxation,
each sip warms a cold heart,
bringing forth a flush of tranquillity
to one who devours into its wonders. '

Lawl, yep.

Does anyone here ever read something then write a story *based* on it? I was reading a book about a faraway land so I started to write one too. It is NOT stealing an idea, just ... using the idea. I don't know how to explain it XP

So sorry! Welcome! :3 It's automatic acceptance, so go for it x3

@ajayred, I absolutely love the poem that goes with your short story, as well as the spin you gave the little red riding hood story.

Okay awesome, thank you!

Oh, all the time! =) My favorite novel that I've written was actually inspired by Michael Crichton's The Andromeda Strain. My book has literally NOTHING in common with it but reading Crichton's book gave me that burst of motivation to write a story that took place in an isolated, secret part of the US as well as the desire to write a complicated plot with a lot of science and statistics in it. I'm considering writing something inspired by one of my favorite books, The Golden Compass, in the future (though that might be more borderline fanfic...) because I love the concepts addressed in the books so much.

Yes, I did. Ive two writings in my hand right now. The first one is the fandom-based story of Warriors called, Fate of the clans. The link of it is in my signature. And the second one is the fandom-based story of Dork Diaries+ My imaginations. Its pretty cool though, I like them very much.

Plus, I'm thinking about making a thread about encouraging and help people who are bullied. Do you think that is a good idea? Also, I need some smoothians who are passionate in writing to write stories about encouraging people and help people to fight back bullies. Do you guys think that is a great idea? Please give me some comments about it. Thank you.

Its about making people feel better and encourage them. And also the asking for suggestions part, which authors who write the stories will give suggestions to those who are bullied or feeling sad.

Do you guys think tht is an awesome idea? Thank you for your time for reading this... Thank you very much.

Would anyone be interested in a story like this?:

A girl, about 13 years old's grandma gets sick, and passes away. Her grandma was her favorite person, because she spent a lot of time at her house while her parents were working. Then, one night, her grandma's voice is replaying in her head, "I'm still with you" over and over. So long story short, her grandma is a ghost and gives her advice.

Does that sound interesting? PM me with advice or if you want to read it (if I choose to write it) And for the record it sounds a lot cooler in my head but I can't really type how it goes, it's hard to explain in summary.
