My name is Lufaa, and I am a new adopter,
and non-owner of a Foxerfly.
Image

I would have to name her Corrin, because I just think that it's
a very calm name, and it... I dunno, it spoke to me. Corrin
is such a beautiful name, I think it'll match this guy quite
fine there c:
Corrin wrote:Oh, and I don't like to be called Corrin. I go by
Rin or Coi, but never Corrin. If you call me that, you're sure to
be hated by me until you get it right. Got it?

Image
Image
This Foxerfly will have to be Female. Definitely female.
Image
Image
Corrin is a very simple gal. Although she's afraid of
almost everything, she acts brave and calm, so that
she gives her friends a good feeling that they shouldn't
be afraid when they are. She is the only one ever to
be able to create stars with good dreams that she always
receives. Never ever has she ever experienced a bad
dream. She tries to be sweet, but it always comes out
like she's making a mean comment. She never wants
to hurt anyone's feelings with her words. Corrin also
is always indecisive because she can't understand why
her name would be what it is.
Corrin wrote:My name means "Spear-bearer"...
why?

She is also very very playful and shy. She isn't doormat,
but is also very scared to make new friends. Being curious
as her wits allow her, Corrin noses around a lot. Being only
caught once, she isn't afraid to keep secrets. Being
passionate with her hobbies and clumsy with her steps,
she can create lots of messes she didn't mean to make.
Also, she's quite a sassy gal. Although she tries to portray
a quaint and quiet girl, she can get out of her mind crazy.
She hates gossiping to the max, and cannot stress how
much she hates people being judged.
Corrin wrote:It's just mean and wrong. I just h-a-t-e
it! I know, hate is a very strong word, but yea. That's how
much I dislike it. I mean, you judge my friends, my family,
or ME, you're bound to get the worst from me. Judging people
is wrong. Very wrong.

If there's something she likes better than being nosy, it's to
draw these above amazing paintings. She loves to create the
simplest paintings by using a stick to slowly weave her way
around drawing herself and many other Foxerflies. Corrin
enjoys drawing her life story to express good and bad feelings -
it's always good to let it out!
Corrin wrote:What's good about this is that no one, and I
repeat, no one, can stop me! When I'm feeling blue I do it.
When I feel so happy, I do it. I just LOVE to draw! It's my
original passion. It is what I love to do. It's what I... dream
to do every minute of my life.

Corrin wrote:Well then, if you ask me, this is such a strange
question (But I love strange!). Seeing that you won't leave me
alone until I answer your question, too, fine then. I'm strait.

Corrin wrote:You better sit tight and listen! It's gonna be long!

I was born on a very remarkable date, the discovery of the North
Star, Polaris. Well, not exactly... I mean, the discovery date was
like what? 1780? Haha, I was born a couple hundred years after
that, but it's still remarkable. A couple days after that, some
glowing lights just sparked. I mean, what do you know, right?
Just then, my parents knew I was special. I don't know how,
but I'll take it! I was very curious and loved to create mischief.
It was just a habit... That didn't really spark well. I'm not that
good at listening, especially one time when I thought someone
said, "Cookie chicken socks," when it really was "cook the chicken
now." How I got that, I dunno. As I grew older, my parents saw
that I loved to look at the stars at night, so they decided to teach
me about creating stars. How does that work?! It sounds strange
at first, but it's totally fun! Maybe I'll tell you my tricks. Anyways,
I spent my days out there, practicing. It was so cool because I could
hear the stars and feel their emotions. Ahh so beautiful <3

I do the same, but I'm a LOT better. It only takes me a couple of
hours, opposed to the couple of weeks to get me down pat. I
celebrate small holidays, but this sounds more like my personality,
haha!

That there is judgement in a heap.
Nothing can be like a rising anger of power,
To me, that is everything within.
Doormat is so to speak,
Very unlike me with nosy um...

I've hit such a brick wall that is unbearable to climb over.
It cannot be struck down,
It cannot be broken.
Within me, I cannot express how I am, because I am different.

My poem is done, but sadly, short.

As a conversation between a girl
named Stargirl Caraway and a boy, and Leo Borlock, from the book
Stargirl, once conversed:
Stargirl (Anything I put into text here, I do not own) wrote:"Maybe it was the angle, but her fawn's eyes,
looking up at me, seemed larger than ever. I had made an
effort to keep my balance lest I fall into them. "You're different," I said, "That's for sure."
She batted her eyelids and gave me a flirty grin. "Don't you like different?"

Strangely, I love this conversation because it's like explaining that
I'm different and I'm not afraid to show it. It's kinda strange...? I dunno,
up to you!

Corrin wrote:Here's my way!
1. First, go out when it's night-time.
2. Then, point to the area where you want to create a star. It better not be where another star is, and it has to be in the sky c:
3. Next, close your eyes, concentrate, and repeat the longitude and latitude location where you want your star to be, three times (no more and no less}. Don't put your finger down!
4.Think about stars. Think about what type of star. Supernova? Dwarf? Supergiant?
5. Stay there for about 10 minutes doing the steps above. A small glow will appear, and wala!
6. Your star should appear there.
DISCLAIMER: This process only works for my family huehuehue <333

Name ;; Madamoiselle Etoile
Pronunciation ;; Ayhe-twall
Meaning ;; French for star, or sparkle
Gender ;; Female
Sexuality ;; Bisexual
Origin ;; French
Talent ;;
Etoile takes after her mother's talent of mapping constellations and stars.
Accent ;;
Though Etoile knows English, her vocabulary is limited in some areas. She has a very heavy French accent.

Personality ;;
    If Etoile could be summed up in five words, they would include proper, direct, curious, romantic and loyal. However, it’s never easy to display a personality of one single creature in five words, so we must delve deeper than that.

    Etoile’s upbringing with such stoic parents caused politeness and properness to be of the utmost importance. She’ll always be the one to hide her mouth when she coughs, or say sorry a thousand times when she bumps into someone. The lessons she was taught about being polite to others had led to her becoming very collected, careful, and calm. Though her properness doesn’t travel to the extent where Etoile thinks of herself too highly to talk to other foxerflies, it can get in the way of her understanding others’ problems, and putting herself in others’ shoes. Empathy does not come easy to her, which sometimes drives away potential friends.

    Another personality trait influenced by Etoile’s past is her direct approach to all situations. Thought she can lie once and a while, she’s not afraid to tell it like it is. When she speaks her mind and it offends someone, she can become very puzzled, as in her family, it was a rule to always be truthful and unafraid to express your opinion. She has trouble listening to others doubt or counter her words as well. If she’s in a group and they’re deciding on a course of action, she’ll speak her mind first. However, when everyone else gives their own opinion, Etoile can get agitated, and question why they don’t just go with her idea, because she had said it first. She's very inquisitive of others, and often over analyzes situations when they're quite simple. She must always know details, times (punctuality is extremely important to her), and places.

    The years of storytelling on the roof with her mother has also led to Etoile being a very creative story teller. Her tales are very similar to the stories she heard when she was younger, as she always found them enchanting and entertaining. Her particularly favorite common character is the damsel in distress, which she always loved the idea of; A girl waiting for her true love, hopelessly trapped until they rescued her. She often fantasizes about being in that situation, and is always looking for her lady or knight in shining armor.

    Her sense of humor is often lacking, and she's horrible at telling jokes (she always spoils the punchline and her attempts at answering other jokes are always horrid), but often she makes others laugh without trying to or knowing it. Because she's so rarely disorganized and uncoordinated, it's always surprising when Etoile messes up in any way. After getting extremely flustered over the matter, she'll act like nothing ever happened. She absolutely hates looking undignified.

Friendships ;;
    Etoile had a childhood which involved more adults than it did children. Her parents would encourage her to go play with other foxerflies, but she would indignantly say that she didn't want to, and would instead, stay with her mother. It wasn't that she didn't care for meeting new friends, it was that she felt she was too busy to. She was enraptured in her mother's work, and didn't want to waste a single moment with her. Eventually at an older age, her parents would get together with other foxerflies, and there would be other children there. Estelle would coax her daughter towards the others, but Etoile was perfectly happy in engaging in deep conversation with the adults rather than the children. The foxerfly didn't know how to play with others her age.

    A few months after receiving her charm from Estelle, Etoile began to travel much more in order to see the stars from different places. It was one of her favorite things to do. Now that she was older, she became better at talking to others her own age. One day, she had been sitting underneath a wide tree on a breezy, blue-skies day, her nose buried in a map that she was currently studying, and she heard pawsteps next to her. Ignoring them, increasingly enraptured in her meticulous overview, narrowed her eyes on the map. There was a soft thud, and then silence. Etoile became too curious to keep her nose buried in paper, and turned her head to the left to be staring right at the face of another foxerfly. She recoiled immediately, surprised by the sudden arrival of the stranger. A grin spread across the brown foxerfly's face as her blue eyes stared out from underneath her hair. "Ha! Did I scare you? That was pretty awesome! I mean... I didn't mean to scare you, but you've got to admit that was funny." Etoile's eyes were wide open with frustration for a moment, and then she took a deep breath, collecting herself once again. She sat back down after springing up and pulled her map towards her, assuming her studies.

    There was another moment of silence as the brown foxerfly tilted her head to the side in confusion. Was the blue foxerfly just ignoring her? Etoile wasn't in the mood for any contact at the moment. The brown foxerfly looked around and then scooted closer to Etoile, slowly creeping her eyes across the map. She glanced down at the glowing star charm wrapped around her tail, and then looked back at the paper. "So you like stars? Is that what your talent is? Something along those lines?" Etoile raised her eyebrows in response but didn't react in any other way. "Yeah, stars are pretty cool." Mon dieu! Elle ne s'arrêtera pas! Doesn't she get the hint that I don't want to talk? Etoile growled in her head. "But something even better than stars are dreams, right? They're even more fascinating than anything else in the world. Subconscious thoughts manifested one's unconscious mind as they sleep, giving way to even deeper desires and feelings." Etoile clenched her teeth together. "Ce n'est pas vrai." She muttered under her breath.

    The other foxerfly stopped talking for a second and smirked. "Hey! So you can talk!" Etoile finally looked up from her map. "Of course I can talk." She spoke with an air of supremacy. The grin on the other foxerfly's face widened even more. "Oh that's awesome! What kind of accent is that, French? I've never met a foxerfly with such a cool accent!" Etoile felt herself grow a bit warm under her fur as the stranger drew attention to how she spoke. It wasn't that special. "I wish I had an accent. Awh, I bet you can even speak French, right? What am I saying, of course you can." A small smile flew across Etoile's face as she felt the enthusiasm of the brown foxerfly begin to effect her. "Well, oui, je peux. I was born in France so it's my native language. Il est plus facile de parler français que l'anglais." The other foxerfly looked at her blankly for a moment. "I don't know what the French bits mean, but it sounds awesome." Etoile bowed her head. "Thank you very much."

    "My name is Aisling." The brown foxerfly said. Etoile looked at her, noticing the dream catcher charm draped around her neck. "That's a very pretty name." She replied, and Aisling smiled. "Can you say that in French? Just because, you know. It's French." Etoile sighed slightly but obliged for her new companion. "C'est un très joli nom." Aisling laughed. "What's your name?" She replied "It's Etoile." Aisling grinned at her and then gestured to the distance. "Want to go flying with me?" Etoile glanced down at her map and then back at Aisling, and then gave a small smile. "Yes, that would be wonderful."

    Etoile and Aisling are the best of friends, mostly because they've got no one else to meet up with. With time, I hope to incorporate even more foxerflies into Etoile's friend group, as she becomes more and more open to new people.
History ;;
Image
    Etoile was born into a very intelligent, prestigious and strong family. She was an only child, and because of this, relied strongly on the companionship of her parents. While her father was well-known for the maps that he created and sold to other foxerflies, Etoile’s mother was even more well-known for the star charts that she made. Her name was Estelle, a gentle soul with a great passion for constellations. The long hours Etoile spent with her mother, watching her carefully plot out the patterns of astral bodies in the sky, slowly affected the young foxerfly. There would be long, beautiful nights of lying as close as they could to the sky. Her mother would point out constellations she new, and Etoile would ask if she could name one after herself. Estelle always gave a light laugh at the persistent question, and would reply, “Ma petite chérie, l'étoile de ma vie... Un jour... One day... You will name your own stars.” As Etoile had only begun learning English a year ago, she did not understand the words that were being spoken to her. But over time, with repeats of the same question, and the same response, Etoile remembered and internalized what her mother said.

    Etoile’s favorite nights for star gazing with her mother was in the bitter cold fall, when no leaves on the trees blocked their view, and the air was so sharp it sometimes hurt to breathe deeply. She and her mother would lie side by side to share warmth, covered in blankets. The nights were so crystal clear and magical, they could see stars better than ever. Those certain nights especially stuck in Etoile’s mind because it was during the coldest part of the night when her mother would tell her stories about the different stars. “Ne voyez-vous les trois étoiles là-bas ma belle ange? The three stars right there.” And she would point with her nose to a minute cluster. Etoile would narrow her eyes, peering into the night. Once she found the stars Estelle was pointing at, she would smile. “Oui maman! Je les vois! Right there, oui?” The older foxerfly would nod her head, and then begin a story of how those stars appeared in the sky.

    The foxerfly could have listened for hours on end to her mother’s stories. They were always enchanting, and included conflict, sometimes danger, and ended with resolution that was either bad, or good, depending on what Etoile wanted to hear. Full often would she ask her mother to save her favorite character in the story, and Estelle would oblige. While Etoile loved both her parents very much, her Estelle was her favorite parent, best friend in the whole world, and meant everything to her.

    Etoile learned everything there is to know about stars, and how new ones are being discovered every day. Estelle's storage of maps was extensive, and Etoile would pour over them with fascination. After many hours of mapping her own stars under her mother's watch, the young foxerfly eventually began looking for her own stars to discover. It was one particularly windy and bitter near-winter, fall night, that the two female foxerflies sat under a tree and stared at the stars, and Etoile, instead of her mother, did the pointing with her nose. "Les voyez-vous? L'étoile brillante. Near the Little Dipper." And so Estelle peered into the night, as Etoile once did, and nodded. "I see it, ma fille. C'est très beau." There was a moment of silence and then Estelle looked at Etoile. "The star is so beautiful, just like you. I am proud of you... Donc, très fier." Etoile beamed at her mother, and then they both turned their heads to the stars. "L'etoile... The star... A sorcerer once cursed it, trapping it in the body of a foxerfly. The star was lonely, and it dearly wished to return to its rightful place in the chilly heavens..." And Etoile began her own story of her own star as the wind in the night continued to howl.

    Days later Estelle brought Etoile to her side, and smiling at her, placed something in front of her. It was dazzling and glowed brightly, a little star charm. The young foxerfly gasped, and as excited as she was, drew back. That was her mother's charm, the one which provided the warm glow by which the two would see one anothers' faces as they stayed up late. Estelle cocked her head and smiled, nudging it forward with her nose. "C'est pour tu. You're ready for your charm." Etoile's eyes grew round as she backed away. "No maman. Je ne peux pas! It's yours, not mine. You need your charm." The older foxerfly chuckled and shrugged. "I want to keep it with the family, and you're the only foxerfly I would trust it with. I'm done with my work. The stars need a new explorer." Etoile blinked, stunned by this development, and then pushed aside the doubts, worries and concerns that were circling in her head. She pulled the glowing charm to her paws and smiled at its warm color. "Merci beaucoup maman. Je t'aime." She spoke as she nuzzled her head into her mother's furry chest. Estelle smiled warmly and closed her eyes. "I love you too, ma chéri."

    A little note c: ;;

    Hello Koda ;u;
    I've never actually tried out for a foxerfly. I've only ever owned Aisling and this babeh caught my eye. I've always had an affinity towards star-based designs, and this one is just adorable. I've also wanted a French character in a while, and I'm interested in getting a foxerfly who's interested in dating, and not just on their own. I feel like Etoile would be my "gateway" into the fanclub thread, and I would enter roleplays with her because it'd be such fun to write from her perspective. Just wanted to write down my thoughts and the reason behind why I'd like her ;u;
