My question is in the picture.
How many gallons is your tank? : 2.5
How many fish and what types are they? : 1 betta
How long has it been running? : just cleaned it.
Did you cycle it? : -
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : -
What is the issue or question? : in picture , please respond . I don't know if I'm being silly or if this is serious.

His color is duling due to stress. Don't take him out of the tank?

I wouldn't but I have to when cleaning the tank... I put him in a cup of warm water and try to clean the tank quickly.. Is there anything else I can do to reduce stress?

Dont take him out of his tank when your cleaning it, use a siphon, and change only 20% of the water

I gave away my betta fish to my friend because I was just doing so badly.. I'm not good with small tanks. I knew I would do him more harm than good so as much as I loved my Wendigo, I gave him to a friend. This way I can check up on him every now and then. Sometimes I look over at his empty tank and I'm sad, but I know he is happier

I plan on getting a huge tank when I move out though, I'm good with big tanks. I'm rather excited for it, actually!

Went out to do some community service yesterday and ended up coming back with ANOTHER fish tank and 3 Cherry Shrimp, lol. Names: Doughnut, Cream Puff, and Sprinkle. In a few weeks or so I will probably have so many I can count. Ugh....why did I do this!?! Hehe

Anywho...just got a 55 gal. saltwater tank last Thursday. It's holding up great, and the fish seem to be doing fine. The tank contains: one snail, a Butterfly fish, 2 PJ Cardinals, Yellow Tang, and a few other fish that I am too lazy to look up the names of.... Pics will be posted soon

And if it's necessary to move him for some reason (deep cleaning, etc) then do not put him in warm water. Put him in water the same exact temperature as his tank.

Bettas tend to change colors (dull or fade) when stressed, and no matter what you do moving him will stress him out. One of the least stressful ways to move him, besides just not moving him, would be using a cup to scoop him up, and not a net or your hand. That way he's never actually taken out of water, and the temperature stays constant. Also adding stress-coat to the water will help.

I've posted here once or twice. I posted first to ask about my betta fish that I had gotten a few weeks ago. I got some stress coat and I'm happy to report that my fish is thriving. When I got him, he was a bit pale and I was worried that he wouldn't last long since he had a rather sizable chunk taken from his back by another fish. Happily, Zombie is doing great. He has a healthy appetite and is quite active in his tank. He's taken quite a bit of interest in me and will swim right up to the side to see me, though he is usually flaring a bit, especially when he first sees me. There was an incident where he got into the center tube of my tank and I was really worried that he might have been traumatized since he was trapped, but he recovered nicely. He hasn't gotten back in there since.

However, my little sister's betta fish is a bit more difficult. He was eating the flakes, but it clouded the water up horribly, so I switched him to pellets and have increased water changes. I even changed out the rocks in the bottom of his tank since they were looking terrible and were stained. The tank is much clearer and looks prettier, too. He was, however, possibly sick from the clouded water and has been rather inactive as of late.
I added a little stress coat and skipped a feeding before giving him a bit of bloodworm. He seems to be doing a little better. He was quite happy with the bloodworm, I believe. He doesn't have the appetite that my Zombie does, but Coral seems to be doing a bit better. Any other course of action I should take or just keep this up for another week or two, giving him bloodworm once or twice a week with more frequent water changes? He's just in the stupid little betta bowl (.5 gallon tank) so he has more frequent water changes anyway. If I can get a new tank in the next two months, then I'll talk to my family about getting him into the tank that I currently have for my betta. (Zombie is in a 2 gallon tank, but I'm looking to get a 10 gallon soon.)

You could possibly get the ten gallon and if your sister was alright with it you split it inhalf with a divider for both of them.

I bought three glowlight tetras yesterday, and one of the little guys only has one eye.
What could have caused this? My dad seems to think that it's from sickness or something,
but he looks otherwise healthy. He's actually the bravest of the three - the others hide whereas
he actually comes out in to the open more. c:

Tetras are nippy and he may have lost his eye to another tetra.

Do they have a heater? you might have said that in your last post but both tanks are dangerous to heat and you will need a very low heater for the bowl. The water changes might stress him if he's older

when you get a bigger tank with a heater, they will be more active and perk up a little more. For now, I suggest that you daily test both water and try to stop changing so much of the water. Frequent 10-20 percent is better but just stick with small so not all beneficial bacteria goes away. You can look on craigslist for fish tanks, and go to garage sales and local fish stores might have cheap ones. Petsmart has a 10 gallon tank by itself for $14. Just get that, a heater, a lid, and about 10 pounds of gravel and you are set. You don't need a filter so you don't have to get one.
