Birchstripe just about told him off, but then looked at his sleek fur and strong muscles meant for swimming. "Alright." She finally said, and paddled back to shore.

Stonekit wailed as a wave surged over his head.

Birchstripe was cleaning Shadowkits fur when the two cats came to shore. She leapt up onto her paws and dashed over to the pair.

Birchstripe licked Swiftpaw's ear. "Are you alright?" Her eyes glowed, and she meowed,"Thank you." Before scooping up Stonekit, and roughly licking and rubbing his chest and belly, something she had learned to do if a kit fell into the stream. Stonekit spewed up a stream of water, before flopping next to Swiftpaw.
