"No!" Ghostflight yowled, trying to ignore the stinging in her head. She lashed wildly at Creekstorm, taking to the air to use the moves she knew best.

"Ghoststar, help!" Timberfoot pleaded, still clawing out clumps of earth.

Creekstorm dodged a few of Ghostflight's attacks while hissing in pain from those that struck him. He hauled himself up a tree and jumped around wildly.

Ghostflight flew down again, and helped, digging like mad. She drugged her small head on the hole. "Almost there!"

At last, after much digging and fighting off Creekstorm, the two cats managed to dig out the trap and free Kestrelstar. He lay in a pool of his own blood, motionless.

"You fools!" Creekstorm snarled. He shoved them aside and bared his fangs. "I don't need a trap to do my dirty work! I'll do it myself!"
