Before I go and run my mouth about something that may cause a fight, despite the fact that I can and have the right to, I ask myself three questions to help me be a functioning socially respectful adult.
Does this NEED to be said?
Does this need to be said by ME?
Does this need to be said by me right NOW?
If I answer any of those with "no" and I'm being honest with myself, I keep my mouth shut.
Sometimes part of growing up is being respectful and keeping your mouth closed, even though you have the right to open it. Maybe there would be less fights all over the world if everyone just shut up and did their best to respect one another.

You know… it kinda bothers me that everyone who doesn't support homosexuality is tagged as "homophobe."
I don't really think that's fair.
I belong to a religion that is stereotyped as hating gays.
But I've talked to many church officials and every single one of them has told me that while they don't teach homosexuality, they are completely accepting of all people - including homosexuals.
It's not fair to say that just because you don't support it that you're a homophobe. Technically I shouldn't support it - but I'm gay. I feel bad for the people who are just following the teachings of their religion and get attacked for being a horrible person. Just because you don't support homosexuality doesn't mean you have anything against gay people.
I mean yeah there are definitely people who are awful to gays. But it's stereotyping and once you've been tagged "homophobe" there's no defense that will ever completely clear that up.
Have a good day y'all. Please contact me here or on TH - I will no longer be using Discord!
