I remember the old layout, it was so cool but I can barely remember it and I prefer the new one. And I remember adopting Tess's old horses. I actually found the site in January lol. Oh and the international mods. Oh god and the first easter hunt everybody wanted eggs.

I remember the very old layout before Avian was even in the header. xD
I remember before you could actually "adopt" pets with it's own codes.
I remember only adopting 1 of each pet in July '08. Fail. XD
I remember before the trading system even came out.
I remember the very first Advent Calender, and exactly what pets I got on the 18th. Growing white July and Red X. <3
I remember when Nick was thenickdude ftw.
I remember getting scammed out of most of my August '08 pets when the trading system came out. D8
I remember when the forums first opened, though I didn't join then. xP

Why yes, I first seen Chicken Smoothie in April, and re-found it in June when I got very interested in it.

Actually that was one of the first litters that did have an adoption limit...the limit was put into place because in october everyone went nuts adopted the spotted/striped red/blue/orange dogs because they figured out there were nine outcomes. I was one of them for sure, I didn't even think about something like server load then.

It must have been the first litter to have the limits put on, because I remember the limits indefinitely starting in December 08 x3
Ohhh what a great December that was; it's probably still my favorite so far.

The first time I read his name like that, I was glancing over it.. I ended up reading it as "Thickneckdude". I did a double take, and then was like "oh. The-nick-dude. Gotcha."


But, has anyone noticed the amount of pets you can adopt has gone down? In January 2009, you could adopt about 20 per litter, but now it is like 7, unless it has over 5 outcomes...

The 2nd gen litter? Might have been the first. I just know it didn't start in october, because that's when the mass-adoption spree happened. X3
I'm surprised that the mass adoption didn't hit the halloween pets somehow, actually, thinking about it. o.O

I remember seeing July 08 newborns in people's dragcave sigs, which made me come here in the first place, though sadly I procrastinated on adopting.
The forums and site were different sites.
Brown layout...I even remember the blue forum layout.
I remember the introduction of butterfly wolves.
I remember before Avian.
I remember the first Halloween and the first advent, and the first Easter.
I remember pets not being on accounts but instead you had to keep up with every single code, and keep them posted on a forum thread.
I remember the October mass-adopt, and when the first introduced restrictions were "15 per pet" instead of varying. October had no restrict, that's what caused it.
I remember when trading came out it was "give" first, which meant you had to trust your trade partner.
I remember the September gift dogs, and the horse reveal.
I remember the first archives.
I remember adopting each dog one at a time.

Good times, good times.

I remember the Cake dogs well. c: My favorite dogs. <3 I could have so many rares...if only I didn't just adopt one of each set. xD Why did I do that? The world will never know what my young mind was thinking. And the old pound system..a way to snag rares, haha! Whenever it was open, it was hilarious to be on the page, refresh 10 seconds later, and it be almost barren.

I remember when I could list the username of almost every single user active on the forums.
I remember when I only adopted one of each litter
I remember when you could adopt the warrior cats
And I remember I used to always happen to get the rare/ most uncommon of each litter, until I got equimagine's rainbow maned horse. My friend tried to get me to give it to her, saying that she just thought it was really pretty. And then in last year's advent calendar I got another rainbow maned horse. I traded them both off at some point, I wish I hadn't.

I remember the archives, when Mausoleum was Rosepose, and she was always late in updating it XD
I remember when the equimagine zebras were announced.
I remember when Shima.Luan first came, and she had an art shop.
I remember all the stupid embarrassing n00bish stuff I did....
And my old art shop. I remember my first ever customer, and what they ordered.
