"Er.." Colton said, lifting from the frame slightly. "Anything you wanna do...?" He asked awkwardly, not sure if the girl would want to hang out. He opened the door quietly, holding it open for her. He slid his foot in front of the door, letting go with his hands. He then allowed the bag to slowly slide back onto his wrist, making everything easier. The regained grasp of the door, moving his foot back.

"Oh....that's horrible. I'm sorry...I've never really and any family to lose. My mom died when I was young, my father..." I noticed her fingers reached up to her neck, again I saw a faint mark. Judging by earlier when she pulled her sleeve down to hide a scar and now, I'm guessing something bad happened. "They're both gone." She abruptly finished, tough times with her father I suppose. "Where are you from?" Thank god, I'm a horrible subject picker. That change of subject helped both of us. "Fairbanks, you know.. Fairbanks, Alaska? Nice little town. Thats part of the reason I tend to flinch away from the heat." I just had to point that out. "You never know cold until you live in Alaska, but i've grown to love it. What about you?"

Katie blushed when he asked her if she wanted to do something. "Uh sure, wanna go grab some lunch then we can think of something to do" Katie said smiling. "And thanks for opening the door" Katie said walking out.

"Sure, and no problem." Colton said letting go of the door. "Any place you have in mind. I don't care as long as it's food." He said with a small chuckle, sending his hazel hued eyes around searching for a place to eat. It was hard to see while your in the middle of a sea of people.

"Um, I don't care either " Katie smiled. "If they have ice cream I'll eat there, mabey Dairy Queen?" Katie asked. She had to be a little loud with how many pepole there was.

Cassie felt a twinge of pity in her gut, tha would be awful. We always wanted a brother or sister, but to have one and then lose one. "Oh....that's horrible. Cassie said finally. She sighed and kept walking. "where are you from?" she asked changing the subject.

He pulled her along, trying to avoid the mass of people. A smile painted across his lips as a soft wind blew in his face.
