"If you don't like it," mewed the deputy,"I'll put you back on apprentice duties. Every cat needs to do their part,"

Stormstar nodded her head, closing her eyes. " That's good " She said. She then opened her eyes and looked up at Chanceheart. " It's okay Chanceheart " She then said, smiling slightly, shaking off her morning grumpiness. "I'm going to go get a drink" She then meowed, before padding off to the stream. and bending down, lapping the water until she wasn't thirsty.

Eagleclaw, about to sit down next to the stream for a drink jumped as Ashclaw approached him. "Hi! where are you going?" She asked. Ashclaw groaned, turning around. " I was going for a drink of water and a nice grooming. Now if you don't mind, I need to do that task " He said crossly, turning back to the stream, expecting the female warrior to leave him in peace. But that was before Crowsong added something. "He and you are going nowhere except the borders on a patrol" He groaned, quickly taking a lap at the water and rubbing the droplets off his whiskers. "Fine." He said grumpily, in reply to the threat of apprentice duties. " I don't mind who we take, as long as they aren't going to annoy me. " He pointed out to Ashclaw, all the while grooming his fur.

He purred,"Let's go, Crowsong. We don't need anyone else!" He sped toward the camp entrance with a very exasperated Crowsong following.

Ashclaw, feeling stung dipped her head and her ears lay back. She thankfully nodded to Swiftcall. "aw foxdung!" said Ashclaw as realisation dawned on her. "Theres no one awake to bring on the patrol!" she said to Eagleclaw.

Eagleclaw growled. " Then we wake them up " He said grumpily, padding to the warriors den before looking around at the sleeping figures, waiting for Ashclaw to catch up. " So, who do you want? " He then asked.

Crowsong crept along the forest floor, stalking a mouse. Therefor he didn't hear the monster and the noise of the Thunderpath. He didn't notice as his paws hit the hard surface, and he didn't notice Chanceheart's horrified expression.

Chanceheart;

"Crowsong!"

The warrior stared as the monster hit his brother at full force, knocking the deputy over to the roadside. He padded up to the deputy, "Crow?"
When his brother didn't answer, Chanceheart grabbed him by the scruff and dragged him back to camp, dropping him in the clearing. "Crow's hurt real bad! He won't answer me!"

"Oh my goodness!" shouted Ashclaw, completely abandoning the search for a warrior to aid them in the patrol. She Ran over to Chanceheart and Crowsong "This isn't funny you mousebrained furbag!" shouted a panicked Ashclaw slightly sobbing at the fact that she may lose a clanmate. she ran to the leader. "Stormstar!" she shouted "Crowsong is hurt!"

Featherstone and Rabbitfur turned as Chanceheart returned to camp, dragging Crowsong with him. Rabbitfur bristled and went to retrieve the medicine cat. Featherstone raced to them.
"What happened?" He sniffed the tom's pelt, scenting the thunderpath on him. "You moved him?!"

"What else was I meant to do?" Shouted the young cat,"Leave him there?"
