    -WELCOME-

Welcome! This is just a small thread to post my character forms for roleplaying purposes and for editing forms in hopes to create an appealing application as well as a developed character. If any wish to give some advice or suggestions for sites to use to help with pretty formatting and small symbols to use, let me know through PM or simply enjoy browsing my characters. Thank you for all who take the time to look through these and give advice or assistance and feel free to message me if you wish to have me participate in an RP of yours!

I mainly partake in high literate to literate roleplays but I do on occasion join semi-lit RP's that are well thought out and include more than one paragraph of content. My main preference is usually warrior cat roleplays but I am open to human or realistic romance plots if asked. In the meantime please enjoy browsing this thread while I work on my character applications for various threads. ~Benathorn

    -HISTORY-
The Fallclan medicine cat is now alone for the first time in her life. Long has her previous mentor, Branchfrost, been there to help guide her paws when there was doubt, or offer a harsh, yet loving, scolding when she would neglect sleep in order to take care of others. He was like a second father to her, forever there as a strong figure she both relied and counted on each day. It never crossed her mind that she would not get the chance to say goodbye. Her last words with him on that fateful night was of the old black and white tom urging her to flee to the secret falls with the others while he bought them time. Songbird has always been an intuitive feline, forever keen to her surroundings and faithful to Starclan. However, their starry ancestors have been silent for countless moons now unbeknowest to the rest. The calico keeps the dark secret within her heart that she nor Branchfrost has had no connection to their ancestors for quite some time, and that the falls were only a place mentioned from Branchfrost's memory. She fears they are all that is left of their clan, and that perhaps Starclan truly has abandoned them...

Dispelling such dark thoughts, Songbird now takes her role quite serious at times, not fearing to retort to any warrior or self-appointed leader if need be if she so feels they are causing too much undue stress on her patients or others-- but she makes sure to do so with the utmost respect in mind. It is this trait now that has helped her to cope with all the loss her clanmates have endured. Her constant show of faith in Starclan is a grain of hope that can instill itself in others, giving those who have lost everything, someone, to rely upon. Songbird has also taken on the burdens of all her clanmate's troubles and worries upon her shoulders alone without a word of complaint. With Branchfrost now gone, she is tasked with the leering eyes of those who wonder why their starry ancestors have not spoken to their lone medicine cat, her clanmate's faith clearly shaken or completely shattered.

Even the calico she-cat has asked herself such things as well, but not wishing to dwell on the subject too long for fear of her own fragile faith waning from the strain. In truth, Songbird blames herself partly for this outbreak. As a medicine cat, many have looked to her to heal their comrades when she can only offer them little hope, earning her nasty retorts and spitting remarks that she knows they only speak from the pain of so much lost. There have been some who also throw accusations that she and Branchfrost were to blame for this epidemic, another sad side-effect that she knows many use to cope with those who succumbed to the illness. Though she has no qualms with being the subject for their blame, all this is starting to weigh down on her, and now she only hopes she can continue to be strong even without the guidance of Starclan or Branchfrost to help her along.

    --- ❦ ---

Confidant in his skills and abilities as a warrior, Elkheart is unafraid to hold back or restrain himself when it comes to an all out physical fight or verbal confrontation. Because of this, he will often place himself in dangerous situations that many would think twice about without a second thought, causing him to appear somewhat careless in his actions and usually being the type to leap first and ask questions later. More often than not this places the over confidant warrior in the medicine cat's den, earning him a hefty eye roll or a chastising remark to take better care of himself, lest he ends up in Starclan for his brash nature. However, despite his faults in this many cannot deny that the ginger warrior is a passionate, fiery soul. Both on the battlefield and with those he cares for most.

Despite his somewhat overzealous nature, Elkheart has always made it a point to socialize and be outspoken with his clanmates. Lifting spirits when things seem low and always willing to be the one to talk to keep any woeful silence at bay. His outgoing disposition and lightheartedness makes the tom an easy friend to make and unload one's worries upon. Rarely one to hold judgement, Elkheart likes to believe that simply giving an ear can often be the best remedy to one's troubles, and despite his fiery disposition, the tom is a compassionate feline who often wears his heart on his sleeve to those he considers close. Though his over confidence may one day be his undoing, the talkative and compassionate feline makes it a point to always be there for his clan when they need him most, no matter the physical cost or mental fatigue it may take on him that he often carefully hides away.

    -HISTORY-

Born into the Viera pack, just a year after they established themselves as wild dogs among the Shining Mountains, Forrest has only ever known the life of hardships and hard losses far away from man's influence. He's dedicated four years of his service to Viera and is known for his swift hunting skills and sharp tongue. However, for being one who is skilled in the hunt, the slender canine chose to instead dedicate himself to tending to the wounds and ailments of his pack mates as he follows his late mother's paw steps in becoming an herbalist.

However, Forrest's personal views and opinions on this new dog pack of ten strong that has recently moved in are that of reservation and skepticism. He has no issue with driving them out of their territory or taking back from them what is rightfully their own. Winter is already hard enough as is for their own pack, let alone two. Sharing such precious resources and having it divided among so many... it simply is not possible without the ultimatum leading to the inevitable loss of life for both sides. Forrest's loyalties lie staunchly with that of his own pack, though. Even if he may somewhat inwardly feel a hint of pity for these new dogs who know so little of the wild, the slender healer simply can not afford such sympathies. He believes these new dogs will barely make it through their first winter here before finally leaving. All the better if they leave sooner to avoid needless bloodshed.

    -PERSONALITY-

-serious➸ Rarely one to joke, and perhaps often a bit too serious and prickly for many, Forrest is a realist in every sense of the word. He favors practicality and common sense when it comes to tending to those who come to him for aid. Which often leads him to chastising those of his pack who cause themselves injuries that perhaps could have been easily avoided if one watched where they put their eager paws. The slender healer does, however, have his rare moments of ease and merriment. Very rarely, though, and often only in private of course. Some say that the borzoi has shared a faint smile or soft chuckle to those whom he considers close.

-forthright➸ Direct and ever the brutally honest one of his pack, Forrest is unafraid to voice his opinions on matters that present themselves as being foolhardy or brazen. He sees no sense in any pack mate risking needless injuries when they need them fit and strong for the coming winter. However, such a trait of his is not usually seen as a favorable one. Forrest has always had a sharp tongue for such things, one that often causes him to simply state the cold harsh truths of the matter to his patients where perhaps a more gentler approach is needed. He was never one to sugarcoat the simple facts of the matter, and as such, is often perceived as uncaring and cold upon first impressions. Such things could not be further from the truth, however...

-knowledgeable ➸ Armed with the knowledge of past healers, Forrest has spent much of his time memorizing herbs and crafting his own unique potent remedies as he continues to learn about the plants around them. It is perhaps his keen intellect and delicate paws that have aided him most in this endeavor. However, such knowledge also reveals what can harm and kill just as much as what may heal and mend. Such insight can be used to thwart those who would place his pack at risk... or heal an enemy if perhaps he shows mercy to those whose suffering is so common to that of his own pack mates during times of hardships. It's hard to say with Forrest sometimes what he will choose in the end.

-loyal ➸ Perhaps his one redeemable trait and one that very few ever question of the slender healer. Forrest is loyal to his pack... almost deathly so. Though he may be a healer by title, he has fangs and experience in fighting and hunting like any other predator raised in the harsh wilds of their home. He will not hesitate to fasten his jaws upon an enemy, though he prefers more tact in doing so. There are many that often underestimate the sleek and agile form of the dainty healer, deception is his strangest asset after all, as so many are but all too eager to allow an offer of aid close should they be his foe. Forrest is no novice to death, after all. He has watched with reserved despair as many young and old have passed due to his limitations in the healing arts, but he would also not stand idly by and watch the pack he calls family suffer at the naivety of these new dogs that so blindly claim their territory. Though he tolerates them for now, the slender canine will not hesitate to do what must be done for the good of his pack.

    -HISTORY-
Born to Coalclan when the community was prosperous and full of light, the young jet black kit of those early days was a reserved and inquisitive individual. His desires laid not with marauders and their brute strength, but with the sorcerers who communed with the ancient ancestors of old and valued knowledge above all else. Because of this, he was taken as a sorcerer's apprentice, an honor to be sure, and one that he has put his heart and soul into to this day. His mind always thirsts for the unknown it seems. To study the stars and their patterns, to read the signs of their ancestors, to heal and tend to the sick and feeble, and most important of all, to converse and guide the emperors and their heirs through times of trouble and doubt. It seems that time is now more than ever...

____________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
||rogue||24 moons||Crush- "..."||Gay||tom||tags: Clover

Crisp morning dew lined the edges of new green leaf as speckles of sunlight dappled across jet black fur. Autumn-hued eyes gazed out from behind the foliage, their gaze set steadily on the what laid deeper within this new territory that he and his young companion had stumbled into.

Crow flicked an ear in quiet contemplation as he cast his gaze towards a slumber calico form nearby. The rogue had led the two into this new territory after nearly a moon of traveling, and both were weary and ready to fill their bellies with the sweet scent of prey that wafted from deep within. He had passed by the edges of this woodland only once long before. Back then he did not dare to enter due to the strange markers he had scented, but now... those odd scents were faint and had long since passed, and Crow was now a fully grown tom able to defend himself and his charge. What laid deep within the woods now was surely ripe for the taking, and the dark rogue was eager to finally take Clover to someplace that wasn't filled with monsters or them rummaging through two-leg trash for a meal.

At the thought of fresh, warm prey his belly growled with anticipation. 'We need this territory...' he thought dimly to himself before looking over to Clover's small form as he watched the calico's sides slowly rise and fall. 'Clover needs it most of all.' He noticed a few ribs beginning to stick out of the younger tom's side as a pang of guilt briefly washed over him, 'How did I get myself into this mess. I can barely feed myself let alone a kit.' The tom sighed deeply to himself at this thought before giving his chest fur a few quick licks to chase away that line of thought. What mattered was the present, and right now they both needed to eat.

Crow padded over to the slumbering calico as he gave the young tom a few swift prods with a seethed paw, "Wake up, I think we found that forest I was telling you about." he meowed deeply, "You'll finally get the chance to learn how to properly hunt for once." It was something the rogue had promised Clover on their travels together since the younger feline seemed so genuinely excited to learn how to hunt instead of Crow catching their meals. That, and deep down the tom himself was somewhat eager to teach and to finally see what had drawn him to this place once more...

    -AIDEN GREYFELL-
❝ Let it be known that none shall tarnish the Greyfell name. I will make sure of that...❞

    -THE BASICS-

        name
        Aiden Isiah Greyfell
        gender
        Male
        age
        428 Years
        orientation
        bisexual
        rank
Current head of the Greyfell estate and Greyfell exports of London fine goods and teas. Is the eldest of Nathaniel's children and heir to the Greyfell Vampire line.
        kin
        -Father: Nathaniel Greyfell
        -Mother: Rachel Greyfell (deceased)
-Sibling: Open to any other male or female vampires that wish to be related.

    -HISTORY-

Born into the Greyfell family as a mortal, Aiden and his kin were originally a small noble house back before London became the grand city it is today. The boy had lived in medieval times, where vampires and lycans were common place and hunters were aplenty to keep such beasts in order. Lords and peasants back then were constantly plagued by the creatures of the night and all knew the tales of the infamous beings who lived forever and feasted on the blood of the living. However, it was back then that the Greyfells learned of the deal that was made by the head of the household. A price that resulted in an unending curse that his father placed upon both himself and that of his family without consent...

Aiden had just recently turned twenty-eight when a supposed old friend of his father's had dropped by on a starless night in autumn's peak season. It was an older individual, a self proclaimed duke from a far off land whose accent was thick and foreign, and who also held himself with an almost imposing aura of poise and carefully hidden strength. The house had lavished this unexpected guest with gifts and a fine feast, only to have the gentleman pointedly refuse such kind offers as he merely watched and caught up with Aiden's father in hushed whispers and soft spoken words. If the household had truly known what creature they had welcomed through their doors that night perhaps things would not have ended up as they did for the Greyfell family, or perhaps... it was a fate they were destined to be cursed with regardless of the dealings that transpired next.

Aiden's father, Nathaniel Greyfell, had summoned his kin one by one into the study that fateful night. An unexpected summon that was tinged with a sense of foreboding and quiet allure. When the young noble entered the dimly lit room he was met with both his father and the stranger from before that was addressed only as Sir Lucius Malcolm, an Elder One, in his presence. His family had been specifically chosen to become apart of this esteemed individual's household and to be given a rare gift that only the Elder Ones bestowed upon to loyal friends and followers of their kind in exchange for eternal fealty unto them-- the mark, or 'gift', of the pure blooded beings. Of Vampires...

Surprisingly, Aiden only listened with dead silence as this stranger's gaze seemed to be mesmerizing yet also commanded his full attention with an allure he could not look away from. He was enraptured and in silent awe with what was being laid out before him. A chance at immortality, an offer of strength and opportunity like no other, yet, one he was inwardly hesitant of as well but too prideful to admit to in the presence of such a commanding individual. However, once it was made clear that the other members of his family had already made the decision to become one of these creatures, Aiden was left alone with the Elder One that night while he too made his final choice as he submitted fully to this creature. It was a choice that he was given little room to reject at that point, a decision his father made for them all as an offer and sacrifice to this Lucius Malcolm to prove himself and submit his children into eternal servitude. The memory of his painful and forced turning now remains as one of Aiden's most vivid haunting nightmares that is now forever burned into the back of his mind like a burning scar that refuses to heal. No matter how hard he tries, Aiden always regrettably remembers the one time he was made to be submissive to another, an act he tries to forget with every fiber of his being.

Aiden had refused to speak of that night or what transpired after his first feeding to anyone, not even to his siblings. It is a right of passage that all newly turned individuals must endure to erase the last of their mortality and sense of humanity, but then, it is not often that a mortal is graced by the mark of an Elder One-- though, if you asked Aiden such things the man grows eerily quiet in an effort to not recall what his father had made sure to force upon the Greyfell family for all eternity. Though they were now immortal and of high rank, they were also at the beck and call of their true master whom they answered to on his every whim whenever he called for their services. Thankfully such things only happen every century or so.

These days Aiden acts out the part of the arrogant and spiteful individual known by the denizens of London as the powerful Greyfell aristocrat among the wealthy and pompous society he loves to hate and hates to love. The young man parades his mortal facade with a practiced ease he has fined tuned over the centuries as the selfish yet clever aristocrat lad who is heir to the Greyfell exports, an industry that holds much weight in both Europe, India, and the Americas for their fine goods and exquisite teas. The Greyfell lord plays his mortal role well, becoming an infamous and popular individual to invite to parties and balls of various kinds, and known for wooing both young men and woman alike with his unnatural and alluring aura that all pure bloods of his kind seem to exude to attract their prey. Many of the aristocratic youth vie for the man's attention, one he is happy to indulge to the young counts and ladies he brings home during the late hours of the night to his chambers. Of course, never does he dare to fully drain them of their precious life. As much as he wishes to, such an act would call undo attention at their disappearance, but he can't help but have high standards for his taste in blood. The nobles always did have such a richer tang to them that teased his senses so unfairly. A taste he at least takes on occasion from those who are willing to give but a little to quell his ravished thirst momentarily once he is sure they won't recall the event, before he finally sends them home the next morning a bit weakened yet pleased.

Vampires these days can not afford the same brutality of the hunt with which they used to be able to do so openly in the past. Ever since they were nearly wiped out by the Rose Blood Order so long ago, humans have since put into place regulations and rules that make high society mingling both tedious yet oddly fun and fulfilling in its own way. The hunt at present date is usually done behind closed doors and with great secrecy. A Vampire is never to prowl callously and without restraint, nor are they allowed to consume the masses in a drunken fever. A certain finesse is required to attract their modern day prey, one that requires less struggle and more willingness versus the past's open consumption of human blood that struck fear into the hearts of many-- it is far easier to consume prey that comes to you without having to give chase after all. However, Aiden would be lying if he said he did not sorely miss the thrill and exhilaration of the old hunts and fear they once held. Those who follow the Elders are allowed to feast as long as no attention is brought to their kind. Humans have long since forgotten the true tales of the fabled vampires of old, and it is something that all of the immortal hierarchy wish to keep hidden away, lest they draw the attention of the Orders once more.

Currently Aiden busies himself with the constant boring badgering of British police and their adamantly incessant detectives. It was only a matter of time before one of the humans pushed for an audience with those who hold a name and power within the city confines. That, coupled with his constant responsibilities of keeping his household's business afloat, as well as his families affairs away from prying eyes, has placed a strain on the usually carefree and devilish individual. However, despite constant tensions rising from both within and the police, Aiden is adamant on settling this business before things gets a bit too out of hand or made known to the mortal public. No one is allowed to pillage his stock or cause discord within his territory, not without first dealing with him of course.

    -SIBLING HISTORY-

Aiden's history with his two younger siblings has always been a close one. Even when he was but a child long ago, the long haired boy back then deemed himself as the silent protector of the two while also making sure to keep his sister and brother entertained with numerous fun games and wild antics to pass the time. He was the instigator and leader of most pranks and escapades devised between the three, but Rowena was the master plotter, and their little brother the ever faithful tag along that enjoyed being included in their schemes of pranking the cooks or nannies of their medieval summer home. It was a hard life back then filled with bittersweet times and fond memories that have all but faded into the past, especially as they grew older and their parents assigned them new tasks and responsibilities while waiting suitors and woman lined up to be the next Greyfells of their home to marry into.

Both Aiden and Rowena despised such things back then, but his younger sister especially so. Her freedom was more restricted than his own due to her gender and status, that, and her chosen suitor was not a very bright one if he thought he could tame the wild little girl he grew up with and knew so well. To help ease her burdens Aiden would often interrupt their forced meetings to allow his sibling to escape or catch a moment of reprieve from the insufferable man. Often this would include him spilling a few clumsy drinks on the individual or simply playing a terrible ruse and humiliating the suitor every time he came over-- after all, only Aiden allowed himself to be the only one to tease his sister so, no one else was permitted such a thing due to his selfish tendencies. Of course, it would be wrong to say that Aiden did not enjoy this immensely since he loved to push his boundaries and see how far he can go before the other loses their restraint. It's always so intensely amusing to see the fancy lords turn bright red with embarrassment or anger at his blatant questions or invasion of personal space, and Rowena's suitor was just that. How unfortunate it was he who turned up dead the night of their turning, Aiden had hoped it was a better first kill than his own... for Rowena's sake at least.

However, when they were given a moments peace Aiden would often take the time to let his little sister and brother see the world outside with him. By going on hunts or simply sneaking out at night to catch the fireflies and count the stars, the three were close friends despite Aiden's constant teasing and wickedly playful nature. He cares for Rowena deeply even though such caring is often shown through playful jabs or a game of who can get the last word in. Even though they have been together for centuries suffering the same curse he would not allow her to suffer alone, Aiden still finds his sister's presence inwardly comforting and her connections invaluable in the current abode they now live in together in London. Without her carefully constructed network of street walkers that works as the Greyfell's eyes and ears among the mundane, they would be sorely blind to the outside world around them. It was due to many of her connections that allowed the man to keep his power and always stay two steps ahead of both human and vampires alike, but now that her network is beginning to be prayed upon by the London massacres the two work together these days to find out who would dare touch what was rightfully their own...

    -PERSONALITY-

➸stubborn Aiden is a stubborn individual, almost to the point of foolishness to his elders and of his own kind, but it is a trait that has served him well over the years against his adversaries and fellow competition. You could almost say it was a personality that he developed purposefully to combat the constantly changing world around him. Each century brings its own new challenges to face, and to adapt one must have an uncaring and steadfast approach to it all in order to deal with the same familiar faces and powers that he himself has been immersed in for over four-hundred years. Aiden has thwarted and climbed the ranks of his fellow vampire brothers and sisters, his name and audacity is known to many outside of Europe, and though he is both respected and found fault with for his overly ambitious desires on many occasions, the male has proven that his stubborn disposition clearly gets the job done when it is most needed. A trait that many of the Elder Ones support regardless of his carefree lifestyle and disregard to rank at times.

➸selfish A trait that is more a part of the young aristocrat's own self rather than one he adopted over time. Aiden had always been a bit of a selfish individual when he was once of mortal flesh, the boy back then was possessive over what he considered to be his, be it family, friends, enemies and especially his prey-- something that he still nurtures to this day and which has only grown in threatening measure over the centuries. Although his possessive nature did not extend into material possessions in the slightest, but more so towards his dominate position as the eldest child of the Greyfells. Thus his need to be in charge and in control of what is 'rightfully his' has made the male out to be insufferable at times as he teases his siblings and close friends to no end on their matters and affairs. Aiden has a bad habit of making another individual's personal business his own, whether out of curiosity or simply as a way to entertain himself is not fully known.

Though for the most part Aiden's wickedly teasing nature towards those he enjoys tormenting as a game is usually done in good nature, the aristocrat often lets his selfish desires deviate into more cruel and borderline obsessive tendencies from time to time when he has been forced to fast for days on end due to his time consuming duties. Such occurrences like these, however, are often only done away from prying eyes since he does not like others to see him lose control so easily once he's reached his limits. It is sometimes difficult to keep his hunger sated due to time constraints and keeping his family business afloat in this mortal ruled world, so when Aiden does feast after forgetting to do so for days on end, the man has indeed lost his self control on the rare occasion-- but never before the eyes of his siblings... only his prey witnesses such uncontrolled predatory behavior that he finds shameful to admit to yet indulges with great vigor to sate his unending thirst.

➸ambitious Ambition has always been a double edged sword for most, but as for the Greyfell heir it is tempered with caution and a predatory intellect that ensures its success for the young vampire lord who wields it carefully and with great patience. It is due to Aiden's intense desires for power over the other lords that have helped his family become well known and established within their vampire ranks instead of one of the low and laughable pawns who do not bare a true mark from an Elder One. It is rare to be turned by a pure blooded vampire and Aiden makes sure that his family's name lives up to such high standards while also ensuring the protection of his family in the process.

However, such ambition also tends to sway the young male's decisions to darker tendencies if his family's welfare is on the line. Aiden is not above deviating to past ways of consuming without restraint, and indeed, such thoughts have constantly teased his better judgement when he recalls how things used to be in the past. He clearly knows what is right from wrong, but there has always been a fine line that has yet to be broken among the vampire ranks. One that could easily be snapped due to the recent chaos, and that tempts Aiden's more darker ambitions to no end...

➸loyal Loyalty. The one trait that those who are closest to Aiden actually find admirable in the often sly and arrogant male. The Greyfell heir is known to keep his promises despite his more lacking qualities of jealously, selfishness, and charmingly teasing demeanor. It is a trait that Aiden actually takes very seriously and will often encourage the man to go to great lengths to ensure his promises are kept without fault, no matter if the original promise was made to friend or foe. It was what originally forced Aiden to make his decision on that fateful night when he was turned. He had done so willingly and underwent the shame-filled and painful process of submitting himself over to the Elder One so that he would be there for Rowena and his younger brother despite their father's betrayal. The eldest son back then would not leave his siblings to suffer their fate alone since it was his duty to oversee their protection-- despite his many faults, Aiden was always the good older brother who looked after his kin while also teasing them all along the way. Someone who is always there when you least expect it and who will also give you that extra little push when your too frightened to take the plunge.

Such fierce loyalty also extends to his household staff whom offer their blood freely to their master, and act that does not fully sustain his thirst but keeps it at bay, as well as to a few close friends outside of the estate. Aiden is not above befriending humans in many ways, and indeed has a few contacts within the British police force that help to keep him informed of situations outside of the aristocrat realm. The young man always enjoys the prospect of new alliances however, and always has a few eyes and ears listening around the city who work to keep the Greyfells up to date on personal matters that may concern them, especially about a few detectives and tailors that have caught his interest as of late...

    -Catherine Rose-
❝ There's no such thing as monsters... only men who hide in the dark.❞

    -THE BASICS-

        name
        Catherine Blanchett Rose
        gender
        Female
        age
        24 Years
        rank
(Self Proclaimed) Detective for the British Police
        kin
        -Father: Adam Rose
        -Mother: Faye Rose (deceased)
        -Brother: Daniel Rose (murdered)

    -HISTORY-

Catherine Rose is a young woman who originated from thegolden countryside of France. A beautiful place that she still misses and remembers fondly to this day, but knows reluctantly that she can never return. When Catherine had just turned twelve, she and her family had to be abruptly uprooted from their modest and comfortable abode since her mother had taken ill all of the sudden with a persistent cough. Knowing that her mother's aunts were a well established family in England, the Rose members was beseeched to return so that proper care and medicine could be given to their ailing niece. It was a chaotic time in all their lives as the family moved from their small cottage home in France, to the lavish and strict lifestyle of London's aristocrats.

Adjusting to her new life, Catherine and her elder brother were immediately placed with tutors at the urging of their aunts, stating that they must learn proper english and etiquette if they were ever to be presented as well mannered family members of the prestigious Fayes to other nobles of their class. A bunch of rubbish if you asked Catherine, but for a twelve year old who lived by wearing short hemmed dresses and ran about in the vineyards freely without a care in the world, then anything here certainly seemed too rich for her taste. However, she eventually complied for her mother's sake and received the proper knowledge required of any young woman of their class. Albeit she still prefers loose and breathable attire versus that of the bust-choking vices that her aunts insisted she adorn. It was not long before she was deemed 'presentable' and slowly grew accustomed to the British lifestyle and their ways. Catherine still has a slight flowing french accent, however, that gives her speech a more distinct tone, but despite that you would never guess she originated from France by appearance alone.

When Catherine had turned eighteen her mother's illness had only progressed into something worse. Her father had worked tirelessly as a low ranking detective for the British police force, anything to earn just a few more pounds to pay for more treatments. Yet, despite both his and their aunts efforts, Catherine's mother soon passed away to the incurable bleeding lung disease that claimed so many during this time. Their family was left to mourn and their fates, uncertain. It was not long after that, that it was decided that her brother and she would be given over to the Faye family to be taken care of. It certainly seemed like the best choice that her father could make for them, but it was still one she openly opposed since all this took place. Catherine had no desire to be paraded around for a suitor so that she could find a fitting man to bring more wealth to the family. She wanted simply to be with her father, to go back to France, and live that same childhood she missed so over again without the worry of aristocrats or ranks. However, she was cruelly granted her wish for momentary peace when yet another tragedy struck her family that pushed the attention away from finding suitors for now.

Daniel, her brother, had been sent to be apprenticed to William Grathan, a highly regarded and respected nobleman who made his wealth as a merchant and climbed the ranks of fortunes. Catherine had met the intimidating individual once or twice before at the many parties the nobles would throw on a whim, but she never truly spoke with him outside of simple pleasantries that were required or mundane practiced greetings. The man did not have to take Daniel under his wing. Indeed, it had been quite the surprise when he had offered to do so after their mother's death, but one that was eagerly accepted by their aunts. Even Catherine, though it pained her to do so, urged her brother at the chance to better himself and his life, regardless of her want for him to stay close by her side as a family. She never thought it would be the last time she would see him alive.

Six years had passed since their mother's death and Catherine received the shocking news from the police on a rainy, London morning. Her brother, Daniel, was found one night in a back alley completely devoid of his blood and utterly lifeless. It was a tale she had heard far too often as of late since so many murders had begun to show over the past year, but one that she hoped never reached so close to home. It was also the first upper-class citizen that had been attacked. Until now, only those of the lower and middle class had been preyed upon, but somehow, Catherine knew it was only a matter of time before it reached the frightened nobles, she just never thought it would have been Daniel who would be the first. He had not deserved such a cruel fate. Daniel had been a good man who actually cared for others unlike so many she had seen of the rich. Why was he attacked? Who was behind such a horrific chain of events? It was something she was now determined to answer no matter the cost.

A few weeks after her brother's death Catherine had worked in any way possible to assist with the detective team in charge of the investigation, though for the most part she would force herself upon them despite their constant rebuttals that such horrifying scenes were no place for a girl. Such roles were rarely offered to woman, and in truth, she is the only one who actually calls herself a fellow detective. Though her father has aided her wish the best he can, the police only laugh and mock her shamelessly as they let her 'parade' around with her investigation. Allowing her, for now, to have her fun as she takes advantage of their amusement before it runs out. Catherine is dead serious about the murders and feels that few are looking in the correct places. Where she believes they should be looking, but dare not touch due to his title and rank, is her brother's mentor/employer...

    -PERSONALITY-

➸intuitive Catherine is a bright young woman who has an eye for minute details. She knows how to read subtle body languages and believes that one's own habits can reveal more about a person than what they initially say. If she has learned anything since coming to England it is that everyone wears a carefully constructed mask of poise and etiquette. In order to see past such well constructed walls of illusion, Catherine busies herself by reading another's motions or simply glancing at what your eyes may reveal. As she often likes to say, you can judge a person's character best by seeing what rests within their bookshelves. People have become masters at hiding their true intentions and Catherine has become rightfully weary of the many smiling faces around her, especially with so many murders about.

➸soft spoken Catherine, despite her hard eyes and stubborn actions, is actually quite a soft spoken individual when she is with those closest to her. It is because she is surrounded by so many people that seem ready to see her fail that she has worked hard to appear more sturdy and unwavering in her appearance. There is very little tolerance for a woman who speaks or acts out of turn, and though Catherine has become infamous for her sharp tongue and unorthodox methods of action, her rarely seen kind demeanor is usually only reserved by the one person left that still believes in her-- her father.

➸stern The young Catherine Rose has had to become quite stern as of late as she struggles to find the answers which she desperately seeks. However, the only clues that she turns up are impossible to believe. Everyone on the streets whispers monsters, dark beings that thrive off of blood and prey on the young hearts that produce the purest of life-giving sustenance. Such wildly spun imaginations that Catherine can't seem to wrap her mind around, but then, what if it is true? Though the woman can be politely stubborn to a fault, such qualities have only hindered her search as she pleads with the other detectives to listen to her findings and suspicions. She knows her best answer lies with the one man they dare not touch, and if the men are too frightened to accuse him, then Catherine has no qualms with doing so herself.

➸knowledgeable The young self pronounced detective is more intelligent than her appearance leads others to believe. Indeed, Catherine knows how to play the part of a damsel quite well since manipulation seems to be the only thing that works against a man. Few seem to be able to resist a crying woman looking for her brother's killer, and Catherine is not beneath pulling out all the stops to find the answers she seeks. It may be degrading in a sense, but it should be noted that it is more humiliating that one individual has gotten closer to the truth than the greatest detective in the queen's service. That, and Catherine has read many of the reports that her father has recorded as well as taken it upon herself to do her research at local institutes with public libraries. She is a sucker for a good book, though, and will often ogle over any vast collections of romance and mystery novels...though, she would rather nobody know this but her as she tries to keep personal hobbies out of work.

    -AIDEN CROSS-
❝ Let's see how long you can amuse me.❞

    -THE BASICS-

        name
        Aiden Isiah Cross
        gender
        male
        age
303 years-- born 1712, turned at age 22.
        orientation
bisexual, though leans more towards male preference.
        height
        6' 1"
        build
a tall and slender physic with sharp features and a lithe build.
        year
4th year for eight year degree in history and literature.

    -HISTORY-

Born during the 18th century, Aiden Cross was a young and well established nobleman's son of the Cross estate whose family was a part of the industrial age during the French and American revolutions of that time. It was an era of discovery, inventions and world changing events-- ones he partook in or simply avoided after his forced and suppressed change. Such memories of his mortal life are what the man values most, thus, why he so earnestly enjoys reading past history and fictional literature of that time almost frantically so as to not let such cherished memories fade to his immortal curse. However, the exact telling of how he was turned into a vampire is known only to him and him alone. It is a tale that the young man refuses to divulge to anyone and that remains in the dark recesses of his mind to this day as he covers such a suppressed memory with a sharp smile and unreadable, narrowed gaze.

However, despite such unwanted past recollections, Aiden lives for the 'here and now' as a young aspiring college student with much ambition and recognition in his current affairs. He is currently in his fourth semester while he works towards a full eight year degree in the historical arts and literature, and has just recently been handpicked to partake in an exchange program that will take him to Osaka Japan. Such a program has him paired up with another male student that he is forced to have chaperon him about and oversee his stay, but such unforeseen pairings do little to dull his teasingly charming demeanor as he also signs up for an opening at a local library near the campus grounds. Though he has only been in Japan for but a single day since his plane arrived, Aiden is soon to meet this mysterious partner of his while he eyes this new territory with both curiosity and hidden predatory interest...

For now he aims to study and surpass his new fellow students as a side amusement to past the time, while also partaking in customs and events required for his stay here to appear as normal as can be-- albeit also indulging in his own predatory urges as well on the side. Already some begin to whisper of the dark foreigner with sharp glasses and an even sharper tongue, and both either foolishly curious or weary local students who signed up for the buddy system vie for the unnaturally charismatic male's attention in hopes of being paired with one of London's top students. As to who exactly the young vampire is to be paired with has yet to be announced or posted on the assigned dorm room's message board-- all the while many of the exchange students take their time to settle in from their long travels to Japan while excitement and suspense hangs thickly in the air with strained anticipation for the new year and start of a new semester at Osaka University.

    -PERSONALITY-

➸stubborn Aiden is a stubborn individual. Almost to the point of utter foolishness to his university's professors and dean as he both greatly enjoys antagonizing and challenging authority on a regular basis since he perceives himself to be more educated then those who surround him. After all, he has lived through many histories mentioned within their textbooks and knows what transpired during those times better than most. However, such blatant audacity has surprisingly served him well over the years against his adversaries and more willful prey, albeit it has done little to gain him allies or friends of any sort. You could almost say it was a personality that he developed purposefully to combat the constantly changing world and its denizens around him.

Each century brings its own new challenges to face, and to adapt one must have an uncaring and steadfast approach to it all in order to deal with such ever constant times without going mad. Such drastic measures must be taken to protect his emotional being, a lesson the young individual has learned all too well over the centuries and one that he also does not wish to repeat. Aiden has thwarted and climbed the ranks of many of his fellow students. His family name and less than desirable personality is known to quite a few outside of Europe, and though he is both respected and found fault with for his overly ambitious desires on many occasions, the male has proven that his stubborn disposition clearly gets the job done when it is most needed. A trait that serves him well when competing for high ranks within the universities he visits, and a mindset that places him on bad terms with many for his overly haughty attitude towards those who he views as simple minded or dully uninteresting. Like a devilish feline with a newly caught toy, Aiden's interest in someone only lasts as long as they entertain him before the prey his either tossed aside or devoured due to his ever varying degrees of boredom.

➸selfish A personality trait that is more a part of the youth's own self rather than one he adopted over time. Aiden had always been a bit of a selfish individual when he was once of mortal flesh. The young man back then was possessive over what he considered to be his, be it family, friends, enemies and especially his prey-- something that he still nurtures to this day and which has only grown in threatening measure over the centuries. Although his possessive nature did not extend into material possessions in the slightest, besides that of old books from ages past of course if you could consider those a treasure. Aiden covets ancient literature works that date as far back as the 18th century with great interest and it is one of his few weaknesses, and odd habit forming obsessions, that he allows himself to show to others openly. His need to be in charge and in control of what is 'rightfully his' has made the student out to be insufferable at times as he teases those around him and close friends to no end on their matters and affairs. The aspiring graduate has a bad habit of making another individual's personal business his own, whether out of morbid curiosity or simply as a way to merely entertain himself is not fully known.

Though for the most part Aiden's wickedly teasing mannerisms towards those he enjoys tormenting as a game is usually done in good nature on his part, the carefully concealed vampire beneath this facade sometimes lets his selfish desires deviate into more cruel and borderline obsessive tendencies from time-to-time when he has been forced to fast for days on end due to his time consuming studies and part time job at the campus' local library. Such rare occurrences like these, however, are often only done away from prying eyes since he does not like others to see him lose control so easily once he's reached his limits. It is sometimes difficult to keep his hunger sated due to the populated environment of fellow students and coworkers, so when Aiden does feast after forgetting to do so for days on end, the man has indeed lost his self control on the rare occasion-- but never before the eyes of mortals... only his prey witnesses such uncontrolled predatory behavior that he finds shameful to admit to, yet indulges with great vigor, to sate his unending thirst... a thirst that reminds him all too often when he feeds just what sort of creature he truly is despite his carefully constructed outwardly appearance that he forgets himself in during brief moments of false normalcy.

➸ambitious Ambition has always fueled Aiden to strive to greater lengths in both his curricular studies and for exploring the lands he has never been to before now. It was what set him apart form the others at his London university to be chosen as one of the few to partake in Japan's selective study abroad program, and a trait that he shows no restraint in as he allows his ambitions to drive him to succeed and overpower his competition with little pause or remorse. Without ambition the man would have never overcome so many years alone. His endless search for new territory to claim, for both an abundance of unsuspecting or untouched prey and intriguing scenery to keep him entertained, has been one of the key factors towards his move to Osaka. The young man cares little if such territory has already been staked by another of his kind and sees such claims as only one more entertaining challenge to overcome before he takes what he desires most.

➸loyal Loyalty. The one trait that those who are closest to Aiden actually find admirable in the often sly and arrogant male, before it is utterly dashed by his ever present devious mannerisms of course. The young vampire is known to keep his promises despite his more lacking qualities of jealously, selfishness, and charmingly teasing demeanor. It is a trait that Aiden actually takes very seriously and will often encourage the student to go to great lengths to ensure his promises are kept without fault, no matter if the original vow was made to friend or foe. However, be mindful to be very specific with what promise you wish for him to keep. Aiden has a nasty habit of finding loopholes or taking such words literally when you least expect them, a trait that shows his devilish nature often bleeds even into his more admirable qualities despite his best efforts to behave and be a reliable companion at times.
