A Binded LopDeer is a strange deer and horse-like mammals that inhabit untouched forests, and occasionally islands. These warm-blooded beasts are much like deer, but with a few different features. Their diet consists of mostly leaves, grass, flowers, branches, and sometimes bark, but if absolutely necessary, they may consume meat. One of most peculiar features of this species is the cloth bind around their head. Bind Deer are actually completely blind, and their eyes are very sensitive, hence the bind over their eyes. In the wild, Bind Deer obviously don't have the bind, but in captivity, or whenever one gets the chance, its much safer for soft cloth to be bound over the eyes. Usually, a Bind Deer will injure another Bind Deer only if they are both male and from different herds. Bind Deer travel in herds of 6-12, but there are some exceptions. In a herd there is usually an alpha buck and alpha doe, their offspring, perhaps some of their siblings, and the occasional strange who joins them. Another very strange feature of the Binded LopDeer is that instead of giving birth to a fawn as a deer would, they have eggs. The eggs take approximately 3 months to hatch, and then the fawn will take a year and a half to grow into its adult form. As for their appearance, Binded LopDeer may range widely. They have strong but nimble bodies that may be practically any color. Most times their fur is short and smooth all around, but it may get a bit longer around the legs. Longer fur more common in males, although still uncommon. Many neon colors on a LopDeer is rare, but possible.
You are on a trip, venturing into a forest that has only recently been discovered, when you come across this new species. There is already a hidden camp of humans in the forest who are keeping a close watch on the Binded LopDeer population, and you choose to join them rather than going back and saying nothing of it. Are you capable of taming a Binded LopDeer to be your companion?
