"I-I-I'm fine" He stuttered trying to get to his paws, but he collapsed on the ground.

Smoky looked at him worriedly, then turning to the young tom who had approached them "can you go and get the medicine cat quickly?" she asked him.

Spottedpaw raced off towards camp, reaching the overlooking boulders quickly and he dashed inside. He saw Windfrost sitting in his den and ran over. "Ravenflame's hurt! He was bitten by a badger!" he explained quickly.

Windfrost looked up in surprise as the apprentice ran towards him. "I'm coming," he grumbled, sounding calm. He immediately ordered Spottedpaw to grab some cobwebs and he, himself, grabbed marigold and oak leaves. The two then quickly went back to where Ravenflame was laying. Windfrost took the cobwebs and applied them to Ravenflame's wounds to stop the bleeding. He then chewed up the marigold into a poultice and put it on the black tom's wounds.

Ravenflame:

Ravenflame just laid there breathing in short staggering breaths

Smoky watched as the Medicine cat approached Ravenflame, she took a few steps back in an attempt to not get in the way.

The light gray tom looked Ravenflame over once more. He wasn't bleeding anymore, which was good. The marigold would stop infection from setting in, so he would heal normally. He'd still need help, however, getting the injured tom back to camp. He looked immediately at Spottedpaw for help, but then again, a single apprentice and an elderly medicine cat may not be enough to carry the weight of a healthy warrior. He looked to the gray she-cat standing off to the side, looking worried. "I expect you'll help us carry him?" he asked flatly.

Dapplefur clawed at the badger. Snowfall had joined the fray, so it wasn't her alone trying to fight off the large creature. The badger appeared to be weakening, but she knew that a couple of cats couldn't hope to kill it. Their best hope was that it would tire and run off.

Smoky looked at the medicine cat, nodding but a bit frightened and unwelcomed by his tone.

"I can hold off until after.... Go get the badger first." He rasped but his tone wasn't welcoming to questioning
