Kemonomimi High! Semi-Lit+! [Open and Accepting!]

Physical Description: Due to his long orange hair and slender build, he has often been mistaken for a girl. However, once you look at him closely, it becomes obvious he is not one. His muscles are more pronounced than a female's could ever be -- in normal conditions, at least --, as well as his other features, such as his nose and jaw. That, though, doesn't mean he isn't graceful both in looks and movement. Being the mountain-goat hybrid that he is, his limbs are long, his step is light and his movements are fluid. His eyes are dark brown and his skin is fair. He's about average height, and his kemonomimi body parts are his antlers, his ears (ignore the elf ones in the pic) and his tail. He does have more hair all over his body than most humans, but it's hardly noticeable due to its light orange color.

History: Zach has gotten along surprisingly well with his human company. Unlike so many other kemonomimis, he's been lucky enough to land in a group of people that didn't ridicule, ignore or fear him, but instead accepted him for who he was. He had, of course, gotten his share of cruelty from other people, but his friends would always stick up for him and defend him.

Things had gone fairly well for him, but there was this one incident that left a mark; the argument with his father. He and his family got along well, but they were naturally fearful of humans and couldn't understand how come Zach had no fear of them at all. They couldn't bring themselves to relax enough to be happy for him, and his father insisted on showing him the proper treatment of humans by picking on one of his friends. He never saw Zach's response coming.

Zach, insulted and ashamed of his father, stepped in and defended his friend. Then, his father grew more and more angry, and the shouting escalated, until Zach simply had enough of the verbal abuse his own parent was throwing at him and rammed into his father with his horns. He didn't kill him, but he injured him nonetheless, and his family has since then turned his back on him. With nowhere to go, he signed up for this scholarship program. He misses his friends, but they seemed to grow apart after the incident, because the boy Zach's father picked on never really forgot that. Zach is sad because of this, but hopes he will find more friends now.

Personality: He's very open-minded and happy-go-lucky towards others. He's friendly with pretty much anybody he meets, but if he feels strongly for someone, he won't let on until he's 100 % sure about it. But when he gets into it, he's really determined to display the intensity of his emotion by being attentive, caring and kind.

He's not rash by any means. He always thinks before acting, and he almost never gets angry. However, when he does, he's a bit dangerous, because he unleashes all of his frustration at once. He's emotional and loves to talk, so he has been told to shut up in the past. However, he pays attention to whoever he's talking to, and he won't steal the limelight for himself.

He's very sociable and doesn't like being alone. His sense of humor is quite good, so he's been known to make people laugh with his quick responses and remarks.

Because he had a good time in human company in his past, he's eager to approach the humans wherever he goes. He doesn't realize he got extremely lucky, and it will take a harsh lesson for him to learn.

When he's angry, he's angry for a very short time. He's very eager to make up with his opponent, since he doesn't like to keep the fights in the relationship, unresolved. The incident with his father has taught him that much.

Odd Fact: He loves to listen to falling rain, or any flow of water for that matter.

Clowesia simply stared at the massive, towering rusted gates that loomed over here in all their menacing majesty. As an eerie creak pierced through the air, Clowesia couldn’t help rocking back on her splayed hooves as her eyes widened slightly. The whole area just reeked ominous musings, from the cracked and old gravel that echoed in the air, from the trees that stretched nightmarish shadows along the long driveway that lead to what had Clowesia imagination running wild with fright; a colossal run down manor that seemed to dominate the miniature forest it seemed to rest within. It was like something from a twisted Hansel and Gretel story. Except this house belonged to Baba Yaga herself and was not made from candies and cookies.



“Well,” Came the voice from the rather stout and portly professor beside her, Mr. Bennett, “This will be where you are staying from now on, Clowesia, the great Heller’s House!” He finished jovially, his bushing, ginger-nut moustache bouncing happily as he begun to strut down the drive-way, Clowesia in toe. “Now, it does tend to get a little cold, and we haven’t quite worked out all the water pipe yet! Some of those rascally trees have managed to wind their roots in awfully deep! But no matter, we’ll make do I’m sure!” Clowesia could do nothing more than look down upon the bald as billiard man who could not even have graced 5’2’’ before she cast a look over her shoulder.

‘I wonder if it’s too late to go back home.’ She thought, the idea of studying here become less and less appealing. “Ah!” Cried Mr. Bennett, her teacher for this school year, as he threw his arm out in front of her, pointing down a small and twisting path, pointing towards what looked like a fraction of a castle. “That would be the northern wing of St. Lutherans Academy! That’s where you’ll be studying!” Clowesia could only blink as she caught nary a fraction of the school she would study at. She looked back towards where she would be staying, then back towards the school. With a huff, she resigned herself to the fact that life was not fair, especially to a Kemonomimi.

“Here we are!” Mr Bennett called, having walked ahead of Clowesia. He happily waited for Clowesia to bound up the stairs, tugging two heavily burdened bags behind her. She gave a kind nod and a gentle smile as Mr. Bennett threw open the door for her. “May I welcome you formally to the Heller’s House, Miss!” He said with a bow and a flourish, causing Clowesia to give a soft chuckle, Mr. Bennett’s moustache ruffling in reply. The Interior of Heller’s House had not what Clowesia had expect, but her mother’s words rung in her ears as she gazed around the warm and cosy manor. She felt as if she’d just stepped into a proper English manor. From the red, patterned and worn carpets, to the suits of armours and the shields, swords and tapestries resting on the walls.

“Now, come Miss Clowesia no dallying! Leave your bags there, the help will get them. It’s time for me to introduce you to the rest of the residents!” Mr. Bennett called, already halfway down the hallway. Clowesia easily took off after him, even with her uneasy and small stride, she quickly caught up with the short and pudgy man just as he threw open a large set of dark wood, double doors. Ushering her in, Clowesia bowed her head in nervousness after having snuck a quick glance at the room’s occupants. “Everyone, everyone, attention please! This is our last student to arrive for today, may I introduce you to, Miss Clowesia!”

Daniel looked up as the new resident was announced. His eyes scanned her, but they lingered on her face. She was nervous, he could tell. And she also wasn't too keen on being here. He wasn't either, because his reception had been ... well, less than flattering. He was among the first to arrive, and the principal was adamant on showing him how much he hated beings like Daniel. And Daniel, as usual when it came to mean stares and other abuse, just clammed up and didn't say a word, not even when he was explicitly asked how he like the place. Instead, he just nodded mutely and sent an apologetic look. The principal turned to the side and muttered something about him not only being an animal, but slow too.

However, Daniel did like watching more and more kemonomimis gather. He hoped he'd be able to make some friends in this new community where he fit in, and the hope still lingered. He had gotten some "Hello"s and "How are you"s -- and he actually managed to respond, albeit with short answers. But he made sure he accompanied his answers with a warm look every time, so he felt that he may just end up not being as lonely as he was used to being.

His thoughts returned back to the girl. What was her name again? Clo ... something. Oh yes, Clowesia. "What a different name," he though to himself, but when the girl's darting eyes landed on him, he smiled and gave her one small nod.

Zacharias was already talking and laughing with some students when Clowesia's entrance was announced. He grinned and shouted: "C'mon guys, let's give her a round of applause! It takes guts to come here! Welcome, Clowesia!" He began clapping, and soon many followed. He even threw in a whistle. As he searched her face for a clue on how she took the greeting, he hoped he hadn't embarrassed her -- because really, all he wanted was to make her feel welcome.
