Jackson ran to the house and was greeted by sirens. His aunt was there, she ushered him into her house which was just beside Kaylee's. He went to his room and sat. No matter what, he couldn't bring himself to move.

Jackson felt the sun from his open window warm against his damp cheeks. He could have sworn that he cried as much as possible, but he thought about how his sister would sit in front of the windows soaking up sun and more tears came. He sat up and covered his face with his hands until the crying subsided.
