Sarane sat up, startled that Truly had told such a sad story, 'Poor girl,' she murmured. 'It muat be hard when you realizdd that you could see everything before... then suddenly everything is dark.'

Truly nodded and buried her face in her bed. "Your turn." She said, her voice muffled by the blankets. She wanted to hear something new. She didn't like revisiting that traumatising experience.

'Lemme think for awhile...oh!' Sarane suddenly though of a story that MIGHT be happier. 'One day, this boy was standing in front of many different cakes, all beautiful, yet different. The cakes all wanted the boy to take them, so they started grabbing his attention in every way the could. Finally, the boy chose a small cake that was plain white and could not see. That is, if a cake could even see. And they lived Happily Ever After.' She sat in silence for a moment. 'Okay, that was a lame.one.'

Truly smiled, "I like that story. Its not lame at all. " she really liked Sarane, and decided that she was somebody she wanted to hang out with. "Chaucer, do you have a story?"

The dog raised his head and looked around the room, smacking his jaws and then going back to sleep. "I guess he doesn't have one. " after a minute she said, "my stories are kind of depressing. Do you know any fairy tales?"

(I have to go to bed soon.)

'Thanks for being so nice,' Sarane said, smiling lightly. 'I only know Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and all those 'princessy' stories. I'm not sure if the stoties of Robin Hood count as fairytales, but that's my favorite story. Have you heard any of those stories before?'
