Robin laughed. "Well, I'm relieved to have your forgiveness, Henry."

And then the puns. One of which didn't even make sense because claustrophobia was the fear of closed spaces and--

She stifled her groan. At least he found his jokes funny, and it wasn't fair to get mad at someone just for having a laugh.

"Do you know where anyone else went off to? Chrom or Ricken or Cordelia, maybe?"

Henry shook his head. "Nope. Last time I saw Ricken he was looking around for something to do. I heard wing flaps up above, though. I thought it was the birds, might have been a Pegasus. Haven't seen Chrom all day. Wait, no- I did see Chrom once. He looked kinda grumpy, though."

[KeruFaye]

"Oh?" Robin replied, concern coloring her features. She wondered what could be causing Chrom visible distress, besides the obvious situation at hand. "Hmm...I guess something something must be bothering him." She would have to track him down after the strategy meeting.

"Well, I'm going to track down the others, in any case." She turned to leave and headed toward the convoy in such of Ricken, Chrom, or whoever else she could find.

Ricken frowned. "Chrom... are you okay? You... You don't sound like the same Chrom that saved me from bullies and wolf packs out of the kindness of his heart*. You look pretty tired as well," Ricken commented, a bit of worry evident in his voice. The Chrom he was speaking too now sounded too... cruel to be the Chrom he looked up to. "Maybe you should take a break?"

(Just now saw that Robin was talking to Henry X3)

At the sound of Robin's voice, the rabbit that Henry was talking to darted away in fear. "Wait! No! Come back!" Henry called after the fluffy white mammal before turning to glare at Robin. "You scared off my friend!" He then paused before answering Robin's question. "Can't I just draw runes for fun? What would you rather I draw, a bunny being eaten by wolf?"

(*That actually happened, he mentioned it in a support conversation with Lissa, I think.)

Chrom sighed. He looked up at the stars. Strangely, they seemed rather faded today, as if most of their glow had been extinguished. "Ricken..." he trailed off, his expression softening. "For someone so young, you're so much smarter than I am." His joke attempt made Chrom smile to himself. He shook his head. This kid made him admit the oddest things.

Cordelia was a bit taken aback at Nah's question. "Well...no," she admitted, shrugging, "But I just thought I'd say hello. You've got to get lonely up here all alone." Her pegasus whinnied nervously at the manakete. Cordelia kicked her side gently as if to say, Be respectful. Nah's really nice. There's nothing to fear.

Ricken gave Chrom a confused look. "Really? I am?" His eyes widened after a minute. "Hey! Are you calling me a kid?" He gave Chrom the best glare he could muster, though it looked more like a pout. "I am NOT a kid! ... and yet, everyone treats me like one..." Ricken stated, mumbling the last part.

Nah smiled at Cordelia, her heart warmed. "Truth be told, it does get lonely. But I'm used to it. After my parents died in the future, I was isolated. I talked to Lucina occasionally, but the war took up most of our time. I learned to stop feeling, to just fight. We didn't have room for emotion. Lucina and Severa felt the same, that's why they always seem cold or emotionless. I admire others like Owain and Inigo. They retained their emotion. It must have been hard." She realized how quickly the conversation had turned dark and coughed awkwardly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to ramble like that, especially about the past future..."

Gangrel sighed, still searching for someone to do his job. "The one time I need someone, there's nobody to be found..." He grumbled.
"I'm here..." A voice said. It sounded sad and disappointed.
"Gah!" Gangrel cried, turning around. It was Kellam. "Gods, Kellam, don't sneak up on me like that! You know how easily old men can get heart attacks!"
"You're not old, Gangrel... besides, I've been standing still the whole time, counting the people who don't notice me." Kellam sighed.
"People? Can you tell me which way they went?" Gangrel said, suddenly interested.
"Sure... Cordelia flew off, I'm not sure where to... Ricken was hanging with Chrom... Henry set off into the forest a while ago... other than that, I can't really remember." He said, counting his fingers as he named people.
"Thanks, Kellam." Gangrel smiled, hurrying off to the forest. Henry loved helping people.

Chrom held his hands up in surrender. "Hey, being a kid isn't so bad." He realized too late that that probably wasn't the best thing to say. "There are plenty of other kids here," he attempted. "Lucina, Severa, Cynthia, Nah..." Chrom noticed he was naming all the girls. Was he playing matchmaker? The idea seemed ridiculous.

Cordelia sighed and looked below. Civilization was just a tiny speck. "It's fine, I do it too," she admitted, her eyes watering involuntarily. "I'm sure you've heard about what happened to my fellow pegasus knights? Your future was full of darkness, but not anymore. My past is- and will always be - dark." She stared at the horizon, determined not to break down. She hoped Nah wouldn't press the matter any further.

Ricken gave up on his pitiful glare and pouted. "But no one calls them children! It's always, 'Oh, Ricken! You'll get hurt!' 'Careful, Ricken, you're going to hurt yourself!' 'Ricken, don't do that! It's dangerous!' I'm tired of it! I don't want to be seen as a little kid that can't pull his own weight!" Ricken stated loudly, almost yelling, hands in the air in an exasperated manner.
