So, Chip has started getting little scratches on his face, they are white, and I'm currently giving him API BettaFix. I don't know if there is much else I can do for him other then give him the BettaFix. Any other solutions maybe?

I live at home my my father decided to push the filter down because the 'waterfall' was annoying him- Ollie decided to try and swim over the filter and get stuck- luckily he was under the water so he survived- that was a couple of month ago.
But lately I have noticed he has been basically floating at the waters surface, he faces the right way and has no swim bladder problems but stays there until I go over then he starts swimming again, his fins are up and in one piece and all his scales are intact? I don't know what he's doing D:

Can you fill out the medical form on the front page?
My goldfish tend to hang near the surface if the nitrates start rising. You may need to do a water change.

@Ollie @Daktoak
How many gallons is your tank? : Right now he had to be moved to a 10 UK gallon as his bigger tank smashed
How many fish and what types are they? : 1 Comet Goldfish
How long has it been running? : Just under 1 year
Did you cycle it? : In the beginning yes and everything is washed in old tank water
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : Literality did a water change under 1 hour ago
What is the issue or question? : But lately I have noticed he has been basically floating at the water's surface, he faces the right way and has no swim bladder problems but stays there until I go over then he starts swimming again, his fins are up and in one piece and all his scales are intact? I don't know what he's doing

Brackish moray eels are kind of fragile if you buy them from a pet store. they don't eat very easily and are usually sick because most pet store cannot give them what they need to survive. some pet stores sell "brackish" moray eels that are really just baby saltwater moray eels that only live a few weeks in freshwater. I would recommend not buying one as it will most likely die on you

.
what if your tank size? and are you getting a new tank? I am an expert of sorts on here on the exotic species as I have owned many of them, and if you want a different kind of fish I can find one that most people would overlook

I was planning on a new tank which I'll be buying with my Easter money

but really any eel is fine :3 I love them
I was a toxic 11-13 year old lol.

I would recommend peacock eels if you want an eel. they are not true eels but look and act like one. they do not use caves but need soft substrate that they can burrow into. another fish to look into are ropefish. look for them if you have a pet store that carries exotic-type fish and make sure you research before you buy

So I decided to do a water change on my 2.5 gallon baby tank. I had 5 babies. After the water change( I added water conditioner) The water was cloudy, but other than that my fish were fine. Before I left to visit a friend in the morning, the water was cloudier but all of the fish were still fine. I came back home after about 7 hours to find the water cloudier and all but one fish dead. The two smallest babies had their brains erupting trough their heads, one of which's spine was completely distorted. The other had all of its back body missing. The second largest one was stuck to the tank wall, but the largest one survived. What happened?
As gruesome as it is, this isn't fake. I just want to now what happened to my babies.

I'll fix this later.
If you're going through a tough time, I want you to know that you can always PM me. Even if you just want to rant to me, I'm here.

He gets peas quite regularly- should I not feed him for a couple of days?

I would try it for a couple days, yeah. It won't hurt him. If you don't see an improvement within 2-3 days, obviously start feeding him again so he doesn't go too long, but I know a lot of people actually fast their goldfish (and other fish) for one day each week as a matter of course.

Yeah you shouldn't have to worry about it. Those don't get that hot and even if it did, unless your fish were resting on the rocks themselves, it wouldn't hurt them/the rocks/the heater.
