I don't think this is really going in the way of a true Easter egg hunt. What makes this fun is the possibility that when you click that banner you could get anything, That's how the hunt is. If you set it up so you know exactly what Will happen,in this case making it so you can't get a token egg, then that just defeats the purpose. Just leave it the way it is and allow people to trade for them like ,as I assume, it's been in the past.
I for one have no desire to collect the animal eggs and feel that it would be a waste of a perfectly good hour. I seem to have no problem finding the animal eggs and it makes me so disappointed to start hoping it's a polka dot token or one I don't already have just to be let down when i see it's an egg I already have 2+ of.
My votes for not changing a thing.
This way is fun.

I honestly feel like if we let this happen, all the eggs will lose their special value. The site will be flooded by many that they may be worthless to most people. I personally like them yes, but I care about the pets more then the animal eggs c:

I like the thought behind this idea to let more people get eggs, however, think about it on the other perspective; if more eggs are put into circulation they would decrease quite a bit in value and this would be rather unfair to the mass of people who overpaid to get the animal eggs they wanted. I know I for one traded away two of my animal eggs for what I consider to be overpay on the other person's side, because it was what they were willing to offer. That would be extremely unfair for them if this was put into action, and I'm sure those two people weren't the only ones who offered such overpay for animal eggs.

Also if you make it an hour, there are people who don't want animal eggs, and don't have an awful lot of time to spend on CS. Let's say someone only has 2 hours, and one of the hours happen to be the animal egg hour. That means instead of having a chance at 6 tokens they'll only be able to collect 3 tokens, since the other 3 would be animal eggs. Yes, they could swap the eggs for tokens but there's also the one-post-per-hour limit on the swap thread which means it's more inconvenient for these people.

Just my opinion though. Or maybe we could have a compromise? Instead of one full hour in one go, it could be chopped up into 3 segments? This could also help with the timezone problem as well, if say in every 8 hours there is 20 minutes that is "animal egg time". Though I suppose, there'll be the problem of a higher likeliness of missing those 20 minutes...

I personally think that people are taking the value of these animal eggs a little too seriously. Who cares if thheir market value goes down? It's not like this site is the end-all be-all of economics. The point is to allow as many users as possible to have a few cool items. Three animal eggs each won't flood the market; if anything, it will make people more willing to trade their eggs because they know that there's someone out there to swap with.

Sorry for posting twice but, maybe they can program something so that players can choose to get the animal eggs or not. Maybe in like a setting or before the animal egg hunt starts, players are asked if they want to get the animal eggs or not. This way players don't have to wait an hour to get regular tokens. If the player chooses yes, the hour is just for animal eggs, if the player says no, then they have the chance still, but also have chance for regular tokens. Maybe it is a bit difficult to program this though, but it still worth mentioning c:

This will only be for one hour and for one day, surely losing an hour wouldn't kill someone, and even if you didn't want Animal Eggs, you can easily trade them off for tokens in return, there are plenty of people who still personally want Animal Eggs! The value on Animal Eggs may drop, but it's not going to make a huge damage to the economy, not every single person will be online for the hour, and not everyone is gonna have a chance at three Animal Eggs as well, I think it would be an interesting idea to at least try out once, it really couldn't hurt
