"That's my boyfriend," Sarah choked out. "Is he going to be alright?l

"We don't know yet," he said.

Sarah raked her fingers through her hair. "Can I at least ride in the ambulance with him?"

The nurse nodded. "Of course," he said.

"Thank you," Sarah breathed. With that, she rushed to the ambulance and climbed in at JJ's side. She held one of his hands tightly in hers, staring at his face as she cried. "Please wake up."

JJ didn't move, or respond. He just laid there.

Sarah cried harder. "JJ..." She bowed her head over him, still clutching his hand tightly. All she wanted was for him to wake up.

A nurs knelt by her. "Does he have any family tp call?"

Sarah nodded shakily. "Y-Yes." She told him the phone number.

He called the number he was given and waited for someone to pick up.
