Upcoming Rarity Changes Discussion

Alright, what has been going on with rarities lately?
It used to be that after the new month hit, pets from the previous month got their rarity soon after..
But April is in 2 days and the February and chinese new year pets STILL don't have rarities?
Not to mention the store corgies from DECEMBER taking four months to get a rarity, if they even will in April.


I don't understand why this is happening, doesn't the system automatically assign rarities? Or is it that members of the staff do and they haven't gotten to it or forgot maybe? I also have barely been seeing any rarity updates in old pets but that might just be because they aren't rare enough yet.

The updates are not automatic, the staff members do them manually every couple months. It's not unusual for updates to take a while, just be patient As for the corgis, store pets often take a little longer than regular pets to get their rarities, partially because they are available for twice as long.

Also, Zebra. is right. We've had a lot of events lately, from Valentine's to Chinese NY to St. Patrick's day. The staff tends to hold off on rarity updates if that months' event pets aren't full grown yet, and will instead update the whole lot next month.

Usually, they get updated before the Easter event. But, who knows when it will happen. lol

I was just about to post about when the rarities for certain pets would come, as it seems they've been without a rarity for too long. So thank you to all those who have posted on the thread about it. ^ . ^
Looking forward to when they do though, as I enjoy seeing what rarity pets get, or change into, and then moving them accordingly.

say they have a rarity of uncommon, but i know for a fact that these were previously rare
~i know because i have them inside a group of favourite rares
also i'm positive they were rare after christmas

Yes, a quite few of older 09' and 10's pets rarities have went down. Check the Recent Rarity Change List thread for more information. Since the front page isn't updated yet. You'll need to go back a few pages to see the recent rarity changes. ^^
