Mana Geared Hyenas share the same anatomy as the ordinary hyenas, however they are born with
metal intertwined around their left forearm. The metal contains two gems embedded into it and
the Hyenas use it as a controller for their mana. Each hyena contains the magic of one of
the four basic elements, fire, water, air and earth. Their left paws contain the
ability to use these given powers, which can be very destructive. However, the Hyenas will
only use their powers when threatened. Any abuse of power is punished by blackening the gems in
their metal gear, rendering their powers useless with no chance of re-obtaining them.

About the Name

Serian is a Welsh boys name meaning 'a sparkling man'. When Serian was born her parents had no idea that it was a boys name and when they found out they understood why they had been getting weird looks for so long. However it didn't bother Serian at all and in fact she loved having such an unique name though it annoys her so much when people pronounce it wrong.

In Detail

Serian is a very independent Hyena who will not accept help from anybody and will get very snappy with others when they try to help with something that she knows with all her heart that she is able to do. Her stubbornness to accept help has brought a lot of trouble upon her but has also made her stronger. For example if she wanted to get a high grade in a class she would study for hours on end until she knew pages and pages of text off by heart.

Serian is also very organised with her work. If you were to go into her bedroom you would find a freshly made bed without a single crease, papers neatly organised in colour-coded binders, books needed stacked on the book shelf in alphabetical order, her laptop placed on her desk closed or shut depending on the time of day, pencils in a case organised by colour and shade and maps and educational posted hang from her walls.

Before each day begins she mentally plans out what she is going to do occasionally she will write it down if it is a long day. Here is an extract from one of those days.

23rd May 2013

6:00 am : Wake up and make a breakfast of mashed fruits and toast with a cup of coffee of course
6:15 am : Have a quick shower
6:30 am : Revise for upcoming maths examination
7:45 am : Clean your bedroom
8:00 am : Wake siblings up for school

She is also a very tough and bold character who will shout her opinion down a microphone if she believes it is necessary. She has gotten into plenty of violent fights with others but that was only when she believed they were threatening her or her loved ones. Many of her fights rely on her sassy and sarcastic comebacks that leave her opponents lost for words. Her appearance does not match her personality in the slightest so many assume that is will be an 'easy win' when picking a fight with her. This always gives her the upper hand but it also annoys her greatly and makes her a lot more fired up than normal.

Coffee

Lady Serian loves hot drinks more than anything especially coffee.
Her friend will always look at her weird while she is drinking a piping hot mug of coffee because they insist that it tastes weird. Serian will only smile and laugh telling them they will understand the beauty of coffee in time.

She loves everything about it, the smell, the taste, the colour everything! Forget buying her a dress or teddy bear for her birthday, give her some coffee and she'll love you for life!

At one point in her life she considered having a coffee style room but that request was shot down by her parents for being to 'obsessive' and 'weird'

About the Scarf

The scarf is one of the only other things that Serian loves beside coffee. It holds so many memories both good and bad.
It was a gift from a very good friend who is no longer in her life.

The scarf itself had been clumsily knitted with weak wool and originally it was covered in many holes but Serian loved it all the same. The two friends tried very hard with it and when it was finished it was like a store bought scarf.

His favorite thing to do is to drag all his blankets and pillows in front of the TV and snuggle up with a warm cup of coffee. Tobi is very kind and understanding, he cares greatly about other's feelings. He is quite sensitive himself and can be hurt easily. Some say he gives out trust too easily and people often take advantage of Tobi's generosity.

s c a r f ;; Tobi loves his scarf. He wears it pretty much everyday. His scarf is like a security blanket to Tobi. It makes him feel safe and comfortable in public and at home. Tobi's dad first got it for him when he was only six years old. The scarf was way too big on him, but he loved it anyway. He even called it "Mister Scarf" until he was twelve.

c o f f e e ;; Everybody likes coffee, right? Well, no one likes coffee as much as Tobi. He drinks four to five cups a day and never seems to be affected by the caffeine. He and his dad used to drink coffee every Sunday after church. Tobi would grind the beans and his dad would heat the water. After it was made, they'd both add two sugars and a spoonful of cream, then watch the sun dip below the horizon out of sight. Tobi developed a attraction to the bittersweet taste and loves to stop at a sidewalk cafe to order a regular coffee with two sugars and a spoonful of cream.

Biscotti can be quite bitter and stressed sometimes, only finding comfort and ease with sweets and coffee. He can be social, but is only really interested in talking to Hyenas that he knows or can easily be talked to.
Biscotti is a morning person. He enjoys getting up early to drink coffee and watch the sunrise.
He'll stay up all night if he's given a chance. He lets his mind wander while he gazes upwards, watching the stars and searching for the constellations. Biscotti usually only does this if his day was stressful and busy.
