Hello there. I'm Ptolemy, and I'm looking for some 1x1s.

I'm new to roleplaying, having stopped practicing it continuously some years ago, but I'm willing and ready to jump back in. I don't have many requirements to who I RP with, but the basics are:
1) Be at least semi-literate. My definition of semi-literate is not someone who can produce one hundred and fifty words. That's not how I roll. I want good grammar, spelling, and syntax, and visible effort towards creating an entertaining roleplay. There's nothing interesting about twelve lines of describing your clothes! Try and advance the plot or reveal more about your character without resorting to blatantly typing up an information sheet and calling it a paragraph. The best characters are revealed throughout the course of a roleplay, not in the character sheet. As a rule I ask for at least one chunky paragraph of 8-10 lines or more, but it can vary from post to post.
2) Be active. I know what it's like to be a busy person, even if I'm very good at condensing work into shorter periods of time. I get that people have lives, and this is a roleplaying site--the priority level is fairly low as far as most things go. That being said, I don't want to wait a week between posts. Think about it mathematically. That means only 52 posts a year. I really prefer that you be able to post once every two-three days at least, with no more than five days between posts. If something comes up, let me know! I'd rather wait two weeks knowing you'll be back than wait two weeks wondering whether you're alive or not.
3) Be creative! I can be a creative person, but thinking up entire plots and coming up with RPs from scratch is not my forte. I'm much better at discussing ideas and throwing out suggestions than coming up with every facet of a roleplay from scratch. I have ideas for topics I'll post at the end of this, and you're always welcome to suggest more. Keep in mind that I also have some topics I don't want to roleplay.
4) Have a good attitude. The whole point of roleplaying for me is to entertain myself. I don't roleplay to improve my grammar, syntax, or vocabulary, and it does not have any direct correlation on my 'real' life. The sole purpose for me being here is to have fun. I can't have fun if my partner is grumpy, grouchy, and barks at me whenever I'm a little bit late on posting, or I ask questions, or anything else. It may sound cold, but I have no problem dumping a partner who makes my experience here a nightmare. As much as I am kind, I will not hesitate to report you or ignore you if you have a bad attitude. Sit back, relax, and have fun. That's what CS is for.
5) No elitists. Please. I might come off as an elitist, but I'm not. I'm really not asking for much. It's not hard to produce posts with near-flawless conventions. I tolerate errors as long as they don't happen because you're too lazy to proofread your work. I'm new to this. I'm not incompetent and uninformed, but I am new. You can expect what I expect, but don't expect me to suddenly transform into Mark Twain overnight.

I'm willing to do a lot of ideas. My favorite topics currently are:
-supernatural roleplays (especially shapeshifters and original werewolf plots)
-science fiction roleplays (advanced technology and whatnot)
-casual human roleplays (roleplays involving humans doing casual things, such as hanging out, or doing camping trips, whatever)
-apocalypse roleplays (speaks for itself, really)
-zombie roleplays (which can tie in with the apocalypse, I suppose)
-hybrid roleplays (human/animal hybrids featured)
-dragon roleplays (I'm a HUGE fan of the Inheritance Cycle, so...)
-anything interesting, original, and creative all at once (if it's good enough, I'll venture out of my comfort zone--really, I will!)

There are also topics I won't touch with a fifty foot pole, such as:
-equestrian roleplays of any kind
-warrior cat roleplays
-roleplays strictly revolving around romance (don't get confused here--I enjoy romance in my roleplays, but having the entire plot be strictly around romance is not what I want. It can be a subplot, or happen as the plot evolves, but I don't want the end goal of the roleplay to be x character married to y character)
-strictly vampire roleplays

xxxhello there, darlings. as you can see by my username, i am ｇｌａｍｏｒｏｕｓ, but you may call me glam if you would like. this is just a little introduction paragraph about myself and what i look for in a one-on-one partner and the plots i am interested in. first off, i am a student in high school, so that puts me in the age range between 14-20, though my age shall not be revealed. this means during the months of august through june, my time online will be limited. due to a recent injury though, i am being homeschooled from this point to june, meaning i will most likely be on more often than if i was in public school. i live in a central time zoned state. if we are partners, i will notify you if i am going to be offline for an extended period of time (i.e. vacationing). a little more about myself; i do enjoy role-playing, shopping, and i am a huge animal lover. i am very well-organized and thought out person. music is another big part of my life. i listen to lord, a great big world, of mice & men, mumford & sons, and of course, my queen, lana del freakin' rey.

xxxas i said in my introduction paragraph, i am a well-organized and thought out person. i look at myself as a high semi-literate to literate role-player. i do tend to be online daily for a good hour. in being homeschooled, i do have that advantage. i do reply rather quickly, usually within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. i will notify you, usually through pm, if i cannot reply within that time limit. i tend to mirror posts, unless i am just feeling inspired with an amazing muse. on a regular basis though, i can post anywhere from three to four paragraphs, two at a minimum with writer's block. in my own opinion, i believe i am pretty good at spelling and grammar. lastly, i do tend to have a more mature perspective with replying.

xxxi tend to have high standards when it comes to my partner. i do expect that you are as well high semi-literate to literate. that you can role-play both genders. that you will be ever so kindly to inform me when you have to withdraw from out one-on-one. you too, can have a mature aspect of things. and probably one of my biggest; that you can reply within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. i hate waiting for days for just a single reply.

xxxi main interest right now is a realistic romance. just a sweet and simple romance with a few twist and turns along the way.

hello there i'm solar flare! although if you want you can call me solar. i live in the us on the east coast so i go by eastern standard time. i'm usually on everyday unless something comes up, so you can expect several replies a day from me. i like to call myself semi-lit and my writing can range from a sentence or two to a pargraph depending on how much you want to write (i usually mirror replies). i'm trying to write more so having a roleplay that will push me would be really great uwu. i prefer to roleplay females rather than males, but i can roleplay both genders. a i'm better at roleplaying only like two characters at a time because i feel i can write more the less amount of characters i have, too. i can roleplay through forum, pm, or email, but i do prefer pm. btw i use me ipad moe than an actual computer so i apologize if i make any spelling errors or i reply rather slow. lastly, i forget things easily so if i forget to reply to you just shoot me a pm to remind me. if you want to quit the rp, let me know because i'd rather not wait for you to reply for weeks without knowing that you actually want to stop, thanks!!

as for you, if you choose to be my partner, i do have a couple things. i would hope that you could reply at least one or twice a day and that if you want to quit you'd let me know instead of just abandoning the roleplay. it would also be great if you could if you could write around the same amount as me (or more) because if we starting getting into one-liners i loose interest or get writer's block. also it'd be great if you could help come up with plot twists and things to help keep the rp going! and that's aboutn it i think.

Hi, I'm Infernia! Feel free to give me a nickname, as I don't really have one yet. Anyway, I am here to find a few one-on-one role play partners, as you probably already guessed. I am a female, living somewhere along the east coast. This means I am in the EST (Eastern Standard Time) time zone. I am on CS about 8-10+ hours a day, with the exception of days when I have class, so I am able to reply quite frequently. I am a semi-lit to literate role player, and I can post anything from one eight-sentence paragraph to three or four six-seven sentence paragraphs, more or less.
