Rako cuddled closer to her, whining. "You'll be alright. I know you will. I'll look after you." He gulped and looked away, throwing his head back and howling. He howled long and hard, and louder than he had ever needed to before.

Only a little while afterwards, Ghost came bounding towards them, his herb pouch banging into his legs as he ran. This was urgent. Rako needed him. "The pups?" He blinked at Rako, smiling as he received a nod in response. "Okay. Good luck Rako." He put his paw on the pups one by one, inspecting their wounds. "I see..."

(( What are their wounds? So I can treat them. xD ))

((Just a few cuts from falling from the cliff. Max is the worst. D8))

"Thanks, but there's no need Rako..." Koji quietly replied, closing her eyes. It was too late to save her now.

[Solanum]

Rako buried his face, tears soaking into her fur. "No. You can't leave me again. I need you." He shrank back, shaking his head. "You can't leave me again. I won't let you." He knew it wasn't his decision, but he didn't want her to leave.

"You have Willow. She's taught you everything...What did I ever do to help you, Rako?" Koji sighed, opening her eyes again to look at him. "I can't even protect you properly! And I'm a deer."

"Good idea! Suck up to the deer then kill it!" Jack laughed, watching Rako.

[Solanum]

Rako hissed at Jack. "Don't speak about my mother like that!" He bared his fangs, but his anger was short lived. He curled up around Koji, slowling his breathing to match hers. "Koji, no. You don't realise. You have saved my life so many times without knowing. You mean so muh to me. More than any has meant to me before."

[Bolt1784]

"And how have I saved your life?" Koji quietly replied, nuzzling Rako gently as she spoke...

"You saved me the very first day. You took me to Shadow Pack. I would have died out there." He smiled reassuringly at her, nuzzling her neck. "You're very important Koji. Please. You can't leave me. Not like this."

[Bolt1784]

"W-What did you say?" Koji asked, tilting her head to one side. "I...I can't hear you..." She was going to die, she knew it.

[Solanum]

Rako dabbed at her head with a bundle of herbs soaked in his blood. "Ssh. It's alright." He licked her cheek gently, crooning.

Koji sighed softly and closed her eyes again. "I'm sorry, Rako..." She rolled over on to her side and slowly began to stpp breathing...
