Doeheart looked away. "Moonlight, she's..."

Icefrost opened her eyes and gasped. "Secretstar?"

Blazefire stared at the two blood-covered pelts. One of his mate and one of his kits. He collapsed with despair and he cried harder.

Silversky watched sorrowfully as it started to rain.

Doeheart could barely stand. Her kit, and the cat who might as well be her sister died. Her other kit was a murderer, too. "Blazefire... I'm expecting kits. I can nurse my daughter's."

Hawksnow backed away, his head lowered. He stood beside Willowsweep and gazed at his older sister's body.

Sunfire stepped toward his father on shaky paws, using all his stregth not to burst out into tears like Blazefire. "Come on," He tried to nudge the new leader to his paws, "You have to go to the Moonwell. You're our leader now," He urged.

Blazefire wouldn't budge. His heart was torn into a million pieces. He had not felt pain this harsh before.

"Let him grieve." Doeheart mewed gently. "Lets go get my daughter's kits."

"I'm so sorry, Hawnsnow." Willowsweep licked his ear. "This is a bad time, I know, but... Will you do me the honor of being my mate?"

Sunfire's pain quickly changed back to rage, "Your not the only one who's hurting!" He yowled at his father, "You may have lost your mate and daughter, but I lost my mate, mother and sister!" The golden tom hissed, "But you don't even care that Icefrost is gone!" He spat, "None of you but Doeheart," He picked up his mate's scruff, setting off to bury her.

Hawksnow forced a smile through the sorrow, "Of course," He licked her ear.

The starry figure of Secretstar turned to see her killer, "Icefrost?! What are you doing here?"

Blazefire laid there, claws unsheathed. He couldn't take it right now. Why did this have to happen?!

Firestorm glanced sadly at Sunfire. He had to do what he did. He had to. Firestorm sniffed and gloomly padded out of the barn. He needed to be alone.

Doeheart grabbed Icefrost's lower back and helped him.

Willowsweep smiled. "I'm so sorry, I really am. I know there's nothing I can do."

"I'm sorry, Secretstar." Iceforst mewed. "I don't know why, I just... You know," she scuffed a paw along the dirt, "ambition changes you."
