"Hey! Tha's mine!" Amberkit squealed as she grabbed the other end of the stick and tugged it hard. She glanced at Brackenkit and nodded in response, but didn't want to let her stick go.

"Did 'e?" Wolfflight tipped his head slightly. "Aw, I'm sure 'e di'n' mean anythang by it. He 'as prob'ly jus' in a bad mood or somethang."

Beetlekit blinked up at Sandstorm, still trembling.

Longpaw walked in the direction that Softpaw had pointed in. "I hope we're close to camp," he muttered.

Brackenkit dropped the sparrow and padded over to them. He grabbed the stick and took it from both of them.

Mallowshade's eyes began to droop and she lay her head down in her nest, feeling much more relaxed than she had in a long time. A few minutes later, she was sound asleep.

Wolfflight followed the she-cat's gaze. "Oh! That's Thundahcloud," he replied. "He's a pretty nice guy."

"You'll be given a warrior name whenever you feel ready," Kestrelstar meowed. "An' the cat watchin' over you won' always be the same one, since we all got stuff to do. But for righ' now, Foxy, d'ya wanna stick with 'im?"

Amberkit bounded over to Birchkit with the stick clamped firmly between her jaws. "I go' i'! I go' i'!" She spat it out on the ground. "I got it!" she mewled triumphantly.

"Daddy...I-I'm cold..." Beetlekit whimpered.

Duckwing spotted Splashpool "Spalashpool!Do I need to treat you like a kit and keep you next to my nest!?" She yowled

Honeykit shivered "Mee Too" her teeth chattering

Sootfall put a sheet of moss over them,then stood "I'll be right back" he promised,padding to the med. Den "Leapardtail?" He meowed
