"Alright! I understand. Follow me." Leonardo straightened up, swishing his tail. He peered around, lifting his maw in the air to catch any scent of prey nearby. Suddenly, he began to start off in the direction away from the lake. As they reached the tall grass, he lowered himself to his stomach and spotted the group of zebras.

"How are you?" Ashki inquired, sitting down on the boulder. Her tail swished from side to side, eyes gazing around the pack land. Eventually, she settled her gaze on the head lioness.

I turn to look at Ashki. "I'm fine, and how are you?" I mused, in a soothing and sweet tone, as I was in a good mood.

Kirhem nodded, showing he knew what was ahead, and crouched down, nearly pressing his belly to the ground. His long white mane ruffled about his neck and his sightless blue eyes seemed to gaze directly at the prey ahead. In his mind, he could image them, striped, quick, and uneasy, he would have to rely on Leonardo to choose one that was injured, young, or elderly that would be easier to hunt. He drew himself a few steps forward slowly, making no sound across the coarse ground. He closed his eyes, lifting his head to catch the scent on the breeze. Any information would be useful.

"I'm doing well! I'm kinda sleepy." Ashki responded, teeth showing as she gave a large yawn. "Do you know what we will be doing today?" She asked, curiousness flickering in her eyes.

Leonardo remained silent, watching the herd graze. His eyes settled on a zebra who was limping and lagging behind when the zebras would move forward. Slowly, he began to move through the tall grass in the direction of the injured zebra. "Go." He whispered to Kirhem, springing forward and running after the limping zebra.

Kirhem nodded, weaving through the grass like a snake. He followed the sound of Leonardo's pawsteps but wove around, trying to reach the other end so they could corner the prey. His heart pounded in his chest and the blood rushed in his ears as the chase began. He could now hear the zebra's faltering footsteps as it tried to pick up speed, hopefully, they could cut it off from the rest of the herd. His mane billowed in the wind and it was as if his clear blue eyes could see, for they shone with a clear intensity.

Briefly, Leonardo glanced over in Kirhem direction before focusing on the startled, injured animal. They animal was fast even with a broken leg, but he was able to close in. While the zebra was startled by Kirhem's presence, it didn't notice Leonardo closing in behind it. The lion lunged onto it back, sharp teeth sinking into the zebra's neck.

Kirhem listened intently, charging forward with great agility he lunged and sunk his claws into the zebra's haunches, allowing Leonardo to kill it without being thrown off. Slowly the prey's struggles began to get weaker and weaker. He could hear its breath go ragged and then, it stopped, going limply to the ground. Kirhem stepped off, licking hot scarlet blood from his claws. He stuck close to the ground, hoping the herd wouldn't stampede in anger or fear.

Feeling the zebra go limp and fall beneath them, Leonardo stepped off and licked at his maw. "Nice job!" He declared, tail swishing from their accomplishment. Lowering his head, he began to tear into the skin of the zebra. He kept his eyes up, watching the herd of zebra.

Kirhem stayed still, thinking that it was fine to let Leonardo eat first, that way, he could keep a watch on the herd. Once again a shadow of a smile played on his muzzle. He felt like saying something. "We did it, not bad size either, I can keep a watch on the herd while you eat?" he suggested, stating his thoughts. The herd did not seem to be coming their way, all the same, it was better safe than sorry.
