The Rainbow After the Storm (Heavy Rain RP.)

Silently, Norman walked out to the front lobby, putting his phone away and waiting for his partner, leaning against the wall. Why on earth....she had her reasons, he was for certain. But, the question is, what was her reason? He let out a long sigh, watching it float out into the frozen air as he felt snowflakes land in his hair. He had a lot to tell Zayden.

(As always, so sorry about the wait. Have had a bad week as well as a busy as usual one, which has murdered my muse. x.x)

Zayden carefully pulled up to the hospital, his eyes scanning around for Norman. He wondered what was wrong this time. For one, they were meeting at a hospital, and for two, Norman simply didn't sound like his normal self. Almost immediately spotting the man, he drove up next to him, waiting for him to get in the car and hopefully explain.

(( I've had a heck of a week, too, so don't worry and don't apologize. I gotcha. ))

Upon seeing Zayden's car drive up, Norman looked up from the snowy parking lot, and gave the man a shaken smile, as well as a few sighs. He placed a hand on the freezing door and crawled in, quickly buckling up and placing his head on the seat. "Sorry for you having to come down here, I know you must have been busy. I would have went to the station myself, but...Madison sort of had an insomnia attack, and we took her bike here...long story short, she decided to stay, told me to go. You're the only one I could call, Zayden."

Zayden raised his eyebrows in suspicion at the story; that seemed out of Madison's character. It wasn't that he thought Norman was lying. No, Norman was an honest guy, and he knew that. It was just..well, he never imagined Madison kicking him to the streets like that. Deciding not to probe him any further, assuming he knew as much as he did about it, he shook his head. "No, it's fine. You would've done it for me," he said before driving off back towards the main road. "She okay?" he asked, before looking over at his partner and raising an eyebrow. "You okay? You're acting a little funny." he asked.

Norman shrugged. "I don't know if she's ok. The most I know is that she had an insomnia attack, I took her to the hospital, and then she kicked me out...she was acting kind of strange." He piked his eyebrows and slunk down further in the seat, thankful for Zayden to come and help him. He repositioned his feet, and he jammed his hand against the side of the door. "We....we broke up." He shook his head and frowned. " I don't know why."

Zayden looked puzzled. "That's odd. I didn't think she'd do something like that..or at least, not so suddenly." he said. He shrugged. "Maybe she'll come around. She may just not be in a good mood or something; I don't know. But..uh.." he began, reaching up and scratching his head. "I'm here for you." he said somewhat awkwardly, accustomed to not really caring about other people's problems until now.

Norman glanced back over to his friend and smiled. He was so shy, it was funny sometimes. "Thanks, Zayden. You're a good friend." He said softly, leaning back in the seat and closing his eyes. "I'm not really sure what an insomnia attack includes, but...she didn't look too good when I left. She looked sort of worried and concerned." He shrugged. "The doctor just told her to rest, and that he would check on her through the night...I'm concerned." Jayden gave a light hearted sigh.

Zayden frowned. "Maybe she'll be better tomorrow." he said with a shrug. It wasn't like talking to women was a regular thing he did in his daily life, embarrassingly enough, so he didn't really know how to take what Madison had done. "Do you want me to take you back to your place?" he asked. Surely they wouldn't be doing any work today; not after what had happened just a mere night before.

Norman shook his head. "I don't know...Blake will be mad if we don't show up, just to stop by and see how things are doing." He murmured, placing his arm up to the side of his head, gazing out the window to the snow. "Hey. Heh, it's snowin'." He began under his breath. Snow. It seemed that the rain had been replaced with the snow, bad news and all.

Zayden nodded, heading off in a different direction. Norman was probably right anyways; when was Blake not thinking about work, really? He then nodded, smiling lopsidedly. "Better than rain," he said as he made a turn. The fact that it had started snowing last night of all nights was almost eerie. Still, he preferred snow over rain, oddly enough.
