(I figured we needed a reason to get everyone's feathers in a ruffle and stir up some action. Honestly, I'm fine with whatever you guys want to do. I'm actually going to make the Erasers leave Lee for dead out there, thinking that he's no good to experiment on when he's all bloody and whatnot. So then...I guess he can tough it out until someone finds him then, no? 'Cause they're gunna(the flock) notice that he's gone for too long or whatever. But really, do what you like. ^^; That was just my idea. Whatever's easiest.)
The Erasers muttered amongust themselves for a good minute, Lee curled up at their feet. One nudged his feet, making him moan and shutter. "It's obviously going to die," one explained in a gravelly voice. "Look at all the blood." The blood was, indeed, in a pool surrounding the Avaian. Lee was breathing shallowly, noticing that the pain had completely gone. But for some reason...He couldn't move. The most he could manage was a twitch of a finger, but that would send another agoinzing wave of pain coursing through him. The bullet in his shoulder didn't embed itself deep -- it was his stomach. It wouldn't stop bleeding...And it just hurt so much. Lee had heard it hurt...But he never expected it to be this bad. The head Eraser sighed. "Whatever. Those were freakin' poisioned bullets too." Lee winced. "Let's go." He could hear the tromp of boots as the Erasers dissappeared into the forest. Oh God, thought Lee, meekly. What am I going to do?

(Durr. I'll try my best to not make this post fail. I really hope that I don't do anything stupid like, accidentally close this message when I'm done with my post. I hate it when I put all my effort into a post, and then I accidentally close the window, and I freak out. It's happened way too many times. So, I will post on Brooke and Angel. Brooke is in that abandoned room up in some kind of boarded hotel or house. I'll have her captured, brought to the School in California, and then when she escapes, she can somewhat meet up with the flock when they're in California.)

Groggily, I woke up slowly to the sound of rain drumming incessantly on the metal roof of my shelter. It was constant, loud, and it hurt my ears. Being blind, my hearing had increased tenfold, more than other avians' hearing, and it made quiet noises sound like an elephant trumpet right down your ear. Even though I couldn't see, I felt myself blink a few times, as I tried to wake myself up. Gripping my hands into fists beside me, I felt the rough fabric of the couch against my palm, the feel of it scratchy against my skin. How long had I been sleeping here? I didn't recall waking up at any point, and I was surprised that I finally woke up now, when it seemed that it had been a downpour for a long time. I usually woke up in any kind of noise. What had changed? I reflected slowly, without moving, the previous events before I had jumped up here. Would those people tell the police what they saw? I bet that the police would just think that they were hallucinating, but then... There were always those who sometimes listened oddly enough. I breathed in deeply and then out in a heavy sigh, and listened for any other noises of disturbance, or something that might want to eat me. Finding that there was none, I shrugged myself up into a sitting, and then standing position.
I walked slowly over to the window, locating it by the cold draft in the air and where it was coming from. My fingers trailed alongside myself, trailing on different things, making sure I didn't bump into anything. Along with my hearing, my feel had increased dramatically. It wasn't the School's doing. No, they didn't help me hear or feel better to help me along. If they had any say in this matter, the adaptations of touch and hearing would have been taken away quickly somehow. They wanted me to suffer. To suffer for their failure, for what I did, and for what I had said. I hated that place with a fiery passion, and I knew that many of the Erasers and whitecoats hated me equally back, and remembered me all too well. I had suffered too much already, and now I was glad to be rid of that place. The hearing and feel had been some of my adaptations, as the whitecoats put it as I was still in their hold. I sighed and stood in front of the window as I mused over my thoughts, my face illuminated by the strange glow that sometimes happened during rain. I didn't think it was thundering though, and thank god. My ears would be ringing if that was happening right now. Taking deep breaths, I closed my eyes and held out my hand into the open, outside the boarded up room. Wet drops of water immediately hit my hand, soaking my skin and part of my jacket sleeve in a matter of seconds.
It was pouring too hard for my liking. Flying in the rain had always confused me. The first time I tried to fly in the rain, I ended up with a badly fractured wing, and a sprained wrist from hitting against a tree. It was when I was blind, and didn't have my sight, but I doubt I'd remember anything when I did have sight. The thing with rain is that there are so many different noises, textures and places my mind tries to pinpoint, that it just is too confusing. There isn't really any way that you could hear small noises in rain, so someone could sneak up on you without knowing. I wanted to fly badly and move from this place, because I never liked being in one place for too long, but I couldn't. The only other reference was to walk, but I wouldn't want that. Those people could still be lurking around for all I knew. I could also travel on the rooftops until I get about 5 to 10 blocks away, and then climb down so that I wasn't spotted. That was always a suggestion. I sat back on my heels, bringing my hand back into the dryness of the room. I didn't totally like this. I mean, I was free from the school, but I never could make good decisions. I couldn't do anything without being at least partially helpless. I couldn't help myself, because of my seeing loss. I bet that there were a few others like me out there. Avians who had their eyesight tested, and they became blind. Just like me, and they were facing the same problems.
Finally, I decided after much hesitation that I should go out along the rooftops. The rain was still at the same pour, if not a little bit stronger. I needed to keep moving. If the cops had sent out an investigation sqad, if the people had told them, and if they had believed them too, then they would be here soon. Then, I would be taken under custody for the time being, they would ask me where I live and who my family were, and then I would be kaput. I could always lie, but then who would I call if they asked to call my parents? I was safer risking life and limb out on the rooftops, instead of sitting inside a police office, waiting for them to find out. I took about five minutes to prepare. I searched all the cupboards of the room, to find that it was stripped bare. I wasn't the only refugee who had come to this place. No doubt it would have already been searched from top to bottom for anything of value. I didn't have any belongings with me, except for a mini dream catcher that I had created when I was little, and in the school. They had wanted to see if my brain was functioning properly, so they gave me some weaving stuff to use. In a matter of minutes, I had woven a brilliant dream catcher. They had taken it away to study it, but I stole it back. From then, it had been my good luck charm. Fortunately through all that I had been through, it had remained with me.
I shoved my hand in my pocket for a moment, fingering the small dream catcher weaving lightly, and then walked over to the window, trying to not bump into anything. I decided to travel with my wings tucked in, so that I wasn't spotted by some kind of helicopter or something, and then I would shimmy along the roof. If it was a flat roof. I would walk. It seemed simple enough. I climbed out the window carefully, waving my foot around until it caught on the rough roof of the building below me. I eased myself down onto the roof and sat there, collecting myself for a moment. It was chaotic in my brain, the rain all around me confusing it. I tried to calm it, but so much was trying to be processed at once, that I just gave up. I shimmied along the roof, my hands placed carefully in front of me so that if I came to the end of the roof, I would know before I fell to my death. I felt along the roof, finding that the texture was rough, bumpy, and it scraped my hands. I knew that once this was over, my hands would be scraped to the bone from roof shingling. I suddenly felt a drop beneath my hands, and for one heart-stopping moment, I felt like I was going to plummet. But I had stuck my hands out in time to find that they were flattened against the side of the building across from me. Taking a deep breath, I stood up slowly and jumped onto what I judged to be the next roof. I slid slightly, but then caught myself. This was going to be a long 10 blocks. Gearing myself up for the next, I started to slide again.

{{I....am....ALIVE!!! God, I'm so sorry for neglecting this, guys. xS hdmwolf, that's perfectly fine! Though, Insanity'sChild, I hope he escapes/is set free rather soon, 'cause they're leaving for California tomorrow, and Max doesn't really have a headcount of everyone yet. xD}}

I smirked at Fang's facade, but just sighed and shook my head, lifting one hand and running it through my hair. My eyes flickered towards the living room and the rest of the flock, but returned to Fang when he spoke, then fell on the protein bars scattered on the counter. I pursed my lips, then nodded, pushing away from the wall and moving next to Fang. I bent over slightly and opened the cupboard below the counter and rummaged around for a few moments, and straightened with three or so duffel-bag-type packs in my arms. "Do not ask my why they're in the kitchen," I muttered, pushing them into Fang's chest, then smirked. "Do you think we have enough to pack food for everyone?" I asked, my tone a bit more serious. I felt an icy chill run down my spine out of nowhere, and stiffened, my eyes darting over to where the cliff was, then looking at the flock, frantically counting, and then counting again. How many had joined aside from our original six? It seemed like someone was missing.

Fang watched Max as she walked over and reached into the cabinet. He smiled slightly as she pushed the bags at him and grabbed them, his hand brushing against hers for a moment. "I didn't even want to know..." he murmured, as he turned towards the counter again.
"We have enough, but we'll be hungry and we'll have to make quite a few stops to keep everyone..." he trailed off as he felt Max's body go rigid next to him and the atmosphere changed slightly. He turned his head to look at her.
He didn't ask what was wrong, he didn't have to; he had lived his whole life practically reading Max's mind. It was easy enough to guess just by her body language. Her gaze hadn't hardened like it usually did when she saw an Eraser, her brow wasn't furrowed like it was when she saw something or someone out of the ordinary, but by the way she was looking at the flock, it was obvious to Fang that someone was missing.
He looked at the flock, then back at Max as he slowly set the bags and the 2 protein bars in his hand down on the counter. He knew who was missing.

I got up slowly, finding that I had slept in late. A quick search around the house made me notice that almost everyone was up. I sighed and balled my hands into fists, rubbing them against my eyes. Last night almost seemed like it was a dream... I yawned and got dressed slowly, reflecting drowsily that today was the day that we headed to California. I wasn't really looking forward to it. It was a long flight, but I guess I would make it. Plodding downstairs, I blinked hard a few times, trying to wake myself up. I saw Fang at the counter, along with Max. I couldn't help it to feel the unease that was floating around Fang and Max. I walked over quietly and pulled out a stool, climbing up on each of the rungs until I got to the top. Reaching over across the counter I took an apple from the bowl that was there and then climbed down. Not that many people were active at the moment, but I was happy about this. It was hard with more people in the house. I sat down on the floor as Total came over and started to rub his ears.

Kirose sat on the edge of the couch, looking between Max and Fang. Her gaze lazily shifted back and forth. Her head tilted to the side slightly, then glanced behind her. What the heck are they looking at? She thought to herself, and looked at Angel's journey to get an apple. After a few more seconds of staring at them, she arched one eyebrow and sighed. "Can someone please tell me why we're all staring into space?" She demanded.

I looked up at Kirose as she asked about why Max and Fang were in a daze. They seemed to actually be either mulling over the fact that one of us was missing, or, the fact that they had no idea where that one of us had gone. I bit into the apple and then chewed, swallowing slowly. Total licked my hand as I replied nonchalantly. "Lee's missing." I simply said, and continued to eat.

Kirose glanced over at Angel as she spoke, then at the counter where Lee had been sitting earlier. "Oh, I guess he is." She said with a shrug, and looked at the Tv. "Whatever trouble he gets himself in is his own fault." She muttered, and crossed her arms. Lee could jump in a well for all she cared, she didn't like him much anyway. "He might just be out for a walk."
