Aah, another Tea_Leaf spelling/grammar rant! Take cover!
~~~
Okay, people.
I've been ignoring this long enough.
*deep breath*
I've seen this everywhere.
People.
It is not 'phased.'
It is 'fazed.'
Everyone uses the first spelling in the wrong context!
"I'm slightly phased."
"I'm not phased at all."
"Do they think they can phase me?"
No! No! No!
Yes, they sound the same.
Yes, they can both be verbs.
But no, they do not - I repeat, do not - have the same meaning!
'Phased,' taken directly out of a dictionary, means "carr[ied] out (something) in gradual stages."
'Fazed,' taken directly out of a dictionary, means "disturb[ed] or disconcert[ed] (someone)."
See, different meanings.
Get it right people!
Ugh!
*huffs*
I'm done.
Roll along now.
Carry on with your lives.
And carry on this newly corrected knowledge.
Use it well, use it wisely, blah, blah, blah.
