Piper Annalise Goldstein

The single thing that is most important to Piper are horses. She isn’t very good at talking to people, so horses, especially her horse, are her best buddies. She’s normally shy around people, and it’s not very easy to be really good friends with her. But, she can be very good company. When met with a goal, she is determined to meet it, though she can be a bit uncertain with decisions. Piper’s mother and father are divorced, and her wealthy father doesn’t really know her, and she’s lost track of her mother.

Seth
When Cinder came out behind me & mounted Inspire, I turned around & smiled at her, excited to be going out & doing a bit of exploring already. I put my left foot up in my left stirrup, grabbed the bottom of Alta's mane in my left hand, and then threw myself over, slipping my right foot into my stirrup. Heading down the trail, I pushed Alta into a quick trot. One of my favorite feelings in the world was the feel of a Tennessee Walking Horse trot; because of their unique gaits, Alta's trot was smooth & quick, and wasn't near as bouncy as most horses'.

I smiled at Seth as I urged Inspire into a smooth trot. His trot was a nice smooth one, but I posted anyway. I ducked under a low branch, but was still hit with the leaves. I felt so comfortable on the trail. I just lived being one with nature. "So, what do you do with Alta," I asked, seeing he had a western saddle.

The pickup truck pulled up to the barn and slowed to a stop. Piper swung her legs out of the passenger seat and stretched her legs. Walking around to the back, she unlocked the trailer and led Whirlwind out. It wasn't hard to find the stall indicated for her horse. Clipping the lead to a hook, she left Whirlwind there while she unloaded her tack and supplies. Grabbing the tack box and a pack of Whirlwind's favorite treats, she dragged it to her designated closet in the tack room, then hurried back to her horse. After feeding Whirlwind the treat, she walked back to the pickup. She brought Bella in her ice blue pet carrier down to Whirlwind's stall, and set her on a folding stool. Now for her least favorite part: she went to introduce herself to the other people. The first person she saw was a girl in a tall blue chair. Piper wandered over to say hi.

"We do a variety of Western events," I replied, dropping back half a step so that we were directly beside her, & matched Alta's speed to Inspire's. "Mostly, Western pleasure, Western riding, reining, trail class, & a little bit of halter & halter showmanship. Basically, any Western event that doesn't involve cows & all the other things," I said, reaching down a bit & patting Alta's neck. "What do you do with your two?" I asked.

As I was finishing up with the soft brush on Dabu, another person arrived. I popped my head out of the stall to see a girl heading toward Annabelle. I grinned to myself as I realized that, so far, Seth was the only guy. As I wondered how many people were coming, I started on Dabu's hooves.

I listened as he explained the events. I had ways loved trail classes, and had entered a few English trail classes for fun. I had really enjoyed them, but never as much as Cross country. "I mostly do Cross-country with Inspire, and sometimes a little Stadium Jumping, and I do Dressage with Extraordinaire," I replied.

While waiting for the girl to notice her, Piper turned to see a girl poking her head out of a stall. She could see a bit of the horse behind her; a beautiful Tennessee Walker, Piper guessed. She gave a small wave before turning back to the girl in the blue chair. "Hi," she ventured. "I just got here."

Piper tapped her foot, waiting for the girl to notice her. Maybe I should just try again later, she thought.but she stuck with it. "Hello," she said again. "I'm Piper." She pulled on the hem of her pink and yellow plaid shirt and played with her jeans rhinestones while she waited, scuffing the toe of her mud speckled boots against the floor.
(Sean and Cider are on a trail ride and Piper {me!} just got here and is waiting for Annabelle to respond)
