Luke nodded. "What did you two do while you were away?"

"Well we worked most days," he said. "Oh and I called both places last night and told them we'd be out for a while," JJ told Sarah. "But on our days off we had picnics or went to the zoo. We just had fun."

Luke nodded slowly as he listened. "Well...I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Sarah nodded in relief. "Thank you, Jayje."

"We did," he said. He looked at Sarah.

Sarah took his hand and laced their fingers together gently. She smiled up at him.

He smiled back at her and rubbed her hand.

Sarah leaned up and kissed his cheek gently.

Luke couldn't help but watch them. They reminded him of he and Kris, in a way. He paused. "JJ, can I ask you something?"

JJ looked at him. "Yes sir," he said.

"Do you honestly love my daughter? Completely and one hundred percent?" Luke asked, looking up at him. He had a feeling that he already knew what the answer would be, but he just wanted to make sure.

"Two hundred percent," he said. "I think I'd go nuts without her."
