Elayna nodded to Sophie. "Yeah, sure you can stay," she reassured her, glancing up at Faeren once more, who only squaked indignantly at the blonde-haired woman. "Faeren can be a bit rude," Elayna explained. "He means well though. It's just in his nature." Faeren turned his beak up at Elayna and the woman, looking very haughty. "Rude," he trilled, giving a little snort. "You know what is rude? To speak of people as if they are not there," he huffed. Elayna just rolled her eyes at him, secretly wishing Nimbleton had been able to make it onto the property; perhaps there was still a chance of smuggling him in...

{I'm working on Mortimer's intro... does anyone want a caretaker for their charrie? I have two, one for murderers, the other for insane, just call it.}

I'll just wait for someone else :3 And as for Joke, if you're asking about character-wise traits then definitely a very patient one or a very skilled one or they're doomed. Disorder-wise, Joke seems to be a bit psychotic and maniacal or have Dissociative Identity Disorder, so psychosis/mania/DID?))

Sophie smiled when Elayna agreed to her staying, growing curious at her remark about this 'Faeren'. He seemed like a haughty little creature, all right. But not exactly a bad one. What did the girl see? An elf? A bird? A faerie? She couldn't see him, that was for sure. And she had learnt to control her whimsical thoughts of learning to see him and wanting to see him, because she knew that was what she had been sent here to do - to cure them, not play along with them. But Sophie knew her patients felt best being treated like normal people. It wasn't hard to do so either, given her secret beliefs in magic stashed away at the back of her mind.

"Thank you. Hello Faeren, I don't mind if you don't like me but you're going to see me often, okay?" She giggled as she reached out her hand to tickle 'Faeren', whatever he was. She wondered if Elayna knew she couldn't really see him. Either way, he was interesting.

"So, Elayna... why don't we introduce ourselves to each other? Since I'm going to be with you quite often now and you're going to be seeing me a lot too. You can start," Sophie spoke in a friendly manner, waiting for Elayna's answer.

{I'll have Ezra go off with Alex, and Joke can have Alexandra; I guess murderer would be best for Joke. ^^ Or maybe a combonation of everything.}

Faeren squaked and made to bite at Sophie's fingers, flapping his oily black wings and hopping further down the wall. Elayna supressed a little annoyance; the faeries and other creatures she had made friends, and enemies, with always seemed to shy away when other people came around. Elayna could understand why; it was pretty obvious to her Sophie couldn't see Faeren. You simply didn't tickle a raven. But she appreciated the effort. Faeren cawed loudly at Sophie, picking at his feathers with his beak, but Elayna just ignored him. "Um, well... what would you like me to introduce about myself?" she asked Sophie, beginning to take the extra wild flowers from her little pile of leaves and weave them together.

Alex slipped the knife back under her pillow. She cowered against the wall and started crying. She wanted someone to love her and wanted someone who would want her to stay alive. She didn't count her foster parents as any of those things. She was getting hungry but wouldn't bring that to anyone's attention. It was just another attempt at suicide.

Joke stopped kicking the door, pausing for breath. C'mon. A demonic whisper was heard as Joke spun to face the creature that had spoken. One more kick and we'll be free. You'll be free. Joke didn't want to listen, but his body acted anyway, kicking the door. It fell from it's hinges, and Joke stepped over it, looking down at the ruined door. He pulled out a piece of paper and jotted down a note, sticking it the door that now lay on the ground; Sorry about the door. I promise I'll fix it someday - Joke.

After he attached the note, he looked around, glad that the place seemed deserted. He walked quickly, hoping to avoid all contact with anyone.

Ezra knocked against one of the patient's doors, leaning his ear in to listen for activity inside. "Hello? May I come in?" he called. He was required to come in, but obviously asking was the more polite thing to do.

"Just what do you think you're doing?" a cold female voice spoke up from within one of the halls. The withered and aged face of Dr. Clare emerged from one of the adjacent hallways, her chilling gaze piercing the boy in front of her over a pair of wire-framed glasses. She approached the boy slowly, flicking her gaze sharply down at her sheets to identify this boy- Haiku, she believed.

Alex looked at the door. She sighed and pulled the blankets closer to her, almost hiding herself entirely. "Come in." she said quietly. She reached for her knife again and held it to her arm, liking the feeling of the cold blade against her skin. She watched the door closely, wondering if she should be afraid or not of this person.

Joke stopped immediately, his breath catching. He hadn't expected someone to turn up so quickly. He watched the woman carefully, trying to think of what to say. "I.... I...you're a person." Was all he could manage, trying not to let panic take over.
