Lionpaw didn't refuse, he rose to his full height to match his mentor's and launched back at him, knocking him back over. He jumped back and stopped, he backed up next to Morningdove and Tanner

Jaywing stood and shook off. "You think I won't be missed? I have a mate, four kits, and a sister." He snarled. "I wouldn't leave the Clan I love for anything. The Clan is weakening, due to the kittypets, loners, and rogues that have been allowed in."

"Yea? So more cats the worse, the few cats the better? Your mate is foolish for choosing a soulless fox-dung lkel you."

(Baack but just for a little bit, so I'm not gonna worry about typing out Kestrel's accent or whatever)

"Stop this at once!" Kestrelstar yowled. "Squirrelpaw, you are not to make death threats like that! An' in answer to your question, yes, I was Clanborn. It was my father that wasn't Clanborn, not me. Jaywing, you're right to challenge any trespassin' cats; that's part of the warrior code, after all. But you are not in control of the Clan, nor are you in control of who joins it. I decide that. And Lionpaw, you are not to attack your Clanmates! It's good that you care for those outside of the Clan, but you should tell me about it before you bring them here. Now stop, all of you! And apologize to Morningdove!" He glared angrily at the three cats.

Tanner folded his ears back in shame. He knew he started all this.

Lionpaw, "I don't care Kestrelstar. Jaywing basically told me, and all the other non clan born cats that we're nothing but a patch of pelt, but we're more than that, we're part of the clan, and anyone can be aslong as they prove themselves, and if that's not what a clan is about, then I'm leaving," he stated

Morningdove dipped her head in gratitude to Kestrelstar, resting her tail comfortingly on Tanner's shoulders. Morningdove then drew Lionpaw towards her, "Hush, this fight is over, "SHe whispered gently.

Jaywing's ears were folded against his head. "I don't want to control or lead the Clan. I want the Clan to be at its best, which it can't be with all of the loners and kittypets traipsing along our territory. We may as well not mark our boundaries anymore!" Jaywing stalked back to his spot amongst the crowd with one last glare at Lionpaw.

"No. I don't care anymore. I'm sick and tied of this verbal abuse." Squirrelpaw said, glaring at Jaywing.

Lionpaw spun around, "No! It's not over! It's not over until I get my answer, and not from Jaywing!" he turned and glared at the gray warrior, also his mentor.

Tanner folded his ears back in shame
