"Thornblaze!" Cinderpaw yowled. She continued to try and break the ice but it wouldn't budge.

Thornblaze's ears perked. He heard another cry for help. "The apprentices!" he shrieked, bolting to the river. He saw Cinderpaw trying to break the ice and Creekpaw trapped. "Move!" he yelled shoving her to the side. He stomped a hole in the ice and broke it open with his teeth. He grabbed Creekpaw by the scruff and pulled him out of the water.

Creekpaw collapsed to the ground, shivering in fear as he lay, eyes shut and teeth clenched in an audible chatter.

Hollyfang was hunting.She only cuaght one scrawny vole so far.She sighed.She felt so...lonely.

"Yikes! Creekpaw, are you alright?" Quailfeather exclaimed. She rubbed his fur the wrong way to warm him up.
