Blazetail led the way out of camp, going to the best hunting place she new. "here we are!" Blazetail said "what can you smell Lilacpaw?" the ginger warrior asked

Thrushpaw decided to take a walk. He padded out of the camp's entrance and into the woods. He scented the crisp air and took a deep breath. A yowl sent him scrabbling backwards. A fox. He let out a hiss and fluffled himself up to twice his size. "Leave!" He hissed through gritted teeth. The fox pinned him, but before it could do anything more, Thrushpaw slipped out from under the creature. The fox bit only air. Thrushpaw launched himself at the fox's side, sending the fox falling to the ground. He swiped at it's shoulder before it could react. The fox aimed at Thrushpaw's cheek, sending a sharp blow. Thrushpaw let out a yowl and swiped at the fox's back, but missed since the fox bowled him over. The fox ripped at Thrushpaw's shoulder before leaping back, glaring. Thrushpaw doubled back in pain and charged at the fox. The fox gave his lower jaw a hard kick before bounding away. Thrushpaw limped back to camp.

Mintpaw decided that she wouldn't be making the situation any better by sitting inside the medicine den so she padded out; only to see Thrushpaw coming back into camp injured."Thrushpaw!What happened?!"

"There was a fox," he explained, wincing in pain.

"A fox?!Did it run away?"Her eyes were full of shock and concern,and her brain was going crazy trying to remember what herbs treated fox bites.

"Yes, I chased it away, but it didn't leave without giving me some wounds." Thrushpaw nodded.
