Finned otters were created as a scientific experiment: Project River Wolf. The goal was to create a species that could be used to guard bodies of water in the same way people have guard dogs. This resulted in a species of otter that was physically similar to a sea otter, but had much of the mentality of a giant otter and was larger than both. Due to the variety of genes used they developed abnormalities including horns on males, razor-sharp dorsal fins, and odd pelt colours. The project was deemed a failure as the species retained their fun-loving spirit and ultimately failed in their guardian role.
This little lady is up for adoption. She'll also have a brother going up for adoption to make things a little bit interesting for the 20th otter :)

She is quite around people she doesn't know, but with her friends and brother, she is a bit crazy. She is a party animal! She will do pretty much anything with her friends, but she would never be caught doing that by herself. She is very protective of her brother, also. She would never let anyone hurt him.
Story: this will be from Storm's point of view
"So what now?" I asked my brother. We had just traveled a long way from our home, or what has become of it. There was a flood. But not just any flood. This one was as fast flowing as a waterfall. It tore up our den, and took our parents with them. We are big enough now to go alone, but we weren't ready quite yet. " We aren't going to find a home like our last." I tell him. He just sighs and keeps walking. "Your tired. Let's go rest." We have going along the river, so I took him into some rocks so we can sleep for the night. It was dark out, and we were really tired, so it didn't take long to fall asleep.
I awoke to my brother calling my name excitedly. I drowsily got up and swam over to him. At first, he wasn't there, then he popped up from the water and told me to follow him. We swam under water for a minute of two until we reached what he was so happy about. It was an under water cave made by the rocks above. We swam in it and it was beautiful. The sun was glinting off the rocks, making them shimmer. He motioned with his tail to follow him again. We swam back up, but not the way we came. There was a place in the center of the cave where you could come up to air, but it was still concealed from any predators. "I think we found our home"
