Sighing in frustration, he turned around and leaned his back against the wall let his head fall back against the wall and groaned, "Augh!" then let out another frustrated sigh. Felt like kicking or punching something, heck, he even felt like crying right about now. Chry had spoiled everything, he knew there wasn't a chance in this world that they could possibly end up together now.
The memory of Amanda Lynn fleeing was burned in his mind, searing his heart and made his eyes tear up. He tried to hold them at bay, but it was no use and too late for him to force the tears back. Silently, he cried. Eyes closed as the tears rolled down his face uninterrupted.
By the time he had finished crying, he plucked up some sort courage or spirit...or something to go pick up his cell phone and called his friend, Whimsic.
"Hey! Toothless! What's up? How are you? Wanna come over and play some video games or watch Frozen?" Whimsic's loud voice greeted Toothless, he cringed at bit at the mention of the movie, remembering how happy he'd been earlier today before the incident with Chry.
"No thanks Whimsic," Toothless began, knowing his current state was probably very evident in his voice. "I watched that today with Amanda."
"That's great! So you two are going out now then, right?"
"Uh, no,"
"What do you mean no? Dude, just freaking tell her that you love her and be done with it!" Toothless reflexively moved his phone away from his ear when the volume of Whimsic's voice went up several notches.
"I can't...things got complicated..." he told him, sighing heavily as he flopped down on his black couch.
"What the heck do you mean things got complicated? Has she started dating someone else?"
"No, no, it isn't that,"
"Then what the heck is it?"
"Chry,"
"What the heck does Chry have to do with this?"
"She complicated things between me and Amanda Lynn today," he scowled just thinking about it.
"How?"
"We had just come back after our...um...outing, and she was there waiting for us," he began, taking in a deep breath in before relating what had happened.
"Well that's definitely not great," Whimsic admitted, his tone becoming pensive, as if mulling things over in his mind. "but I still say you just ask her out. I mean the worst she can say is no, right? I mean, look what happened with me and Vinnie when I tried that. Just, take a leap of faith dude. Just think 'What the heck!' and go for it!"
Toothless nodded his head, agreeing with what Whimsic said, yet still having doubts. "Alright, I'll keep what you said in mind, thank's Whimsic," he said, then ended the call, snapping the phone shut. He sighed heavily once more and let himself fall backwards on the couch, he brought his hands up to his face and rubbed them over it.
"Ugh, I don't know if I can take this much strain on my heart much longer," he said to himself, feeling very weary. "I'll ask her in the morning maybe, I think I need to sleep on this or something."
Maybe a good night's sleep will give me a new perspective on things, he thought to himself as he heaved himself off the couch to go get ready to go to bed.
