That is quite an idea. I feel like I'd end up having to face my own demons as I roleplayed o.o

I've practically played out three stories in my head waiting for the RPs I've joined to get moving. Eek.

I've noticed that people seem to have different definitions of what constitutes semi-lit post length. I've seen anywhere from 5 lines to two paragraphs, each with 10-14 sentences. Kinda wish there was an agreed-upon standard.

@scene--hehe. I've tried following at least half a dozen stories by now, but invariably the posts are too bland, too full of errors, or lacking in substance. I'll try hard with yours, though. ;o

There's always been discrepancy in what constitutes different levels of role players. The community is just too big and too different from site to site for there to be a definite standard. I absolutely look for quality over quantity when rating people myself. There are a lot of users on this site (and others) who call themselves literate or advanced semi-literate that I disagree with.

Aha, I hope you at least find my posts interesting. >.< Sometimes I'll accept people into a role play, and then after a few of their posts I regret it. What can you, though? Do you think it's bad that I don't want to accept some people just because I don't like their writing style?

Some writing styles drive me crazy. I will say right now that posts with no capital letters are irritating for me. I can read them, but I simply don't like them.

If you regret it, gosh. I think the only thing that's harder than denying people is accepting them then denying them. Maybe ask for an RP sample?

I don't have any current examples of my RP abilities/literacy level, but I think the sample I sent Wolf is fairly close to how I generally write.

I always ask for a writing sample when running role plays. But, y'know... People are going to use what they deem to be their best when applying. As far as writing styles go, sometimes it's not even conventional quirks so much as the way they structure the sentences themselves and the language they use. The more I write the more I realize how important syntax is, and there have been some writers that structure their syntax in a way that makes me uncomfortable to read.
