●A Berry Bat is a recently discovered mammal, many believe it is closer related to bats. Others believe that they are close-relatives of a feline. Either way, they are extremely adaptable to all climates, and are easily tamed. Berry bats are always found with some kind of fruit. most often, berries, hence the name, Berry bats. They are rarely found with fruit other then berries, but on rare occasions, have others. No Berry Bat has no fruit.

I've decided to make a summer, Beach Bat for you guys.

My username is doglover<3. Most of this beauty's personality is based off of my own and I am comfortable sharing that here. I love swimming with a passion. Whenever I am near water, it is always so tempting to get in. I am in the swim team and plan to be in it next season. I think I'm a pretty good swimmer, but of course not the best. I also tend to fall in love with designs connected to things I love, and this girl stole my heart.

"M-My name is Nadia" you hear a teal blue berry bat say softly.

Nadia is an Arabic name meaning "Having dew on the surface"

"I am a f-female if you couldn't tell"

Quiet;

She is always very quiet and speaks softly. Only speaking louder if needed or someone demands her to do it.

Doormat;

She lets other Berry Bats control or boss her around. Even to the point of getting her to do something she doesn't want to do. She gets mad at herself when that happens but she doesn't have the courage to stand up for herself.

Strong;

Whether other Berry Bats know it or not. She is quite strong but doesn't show it as she doesn't like to be a show off. Other Berry Bats think of her as a fragile Berry Bat who would break if she tried to lift anything heavy.

Self-conscious;

She can be self-conscious which is why she is also quiet and a doormat. She worries what other Berry Bats think about her and it causes her fun to be ruined. Because of this, she is good at hiding her true emotions.

"Doglover<3, could you tell them?" A tear rolling down her cheek.

Okay. Nadia was bullied as a kid. Swimming was her resort from it all. The place she couldn't hear any insults or people talking about her behind her back. Where she doesn't have to worry what others think of her. A place where she could finally be herself. She has had some fond memories at the ocean with her best friend. In her mind, her best friend besides me, is the only one who truly cares about her and doesn't judge her.

I will name this perfect gal, Umi, which means 'ocean' in Japanese.


Umi will definitely be female


There are so many simplistic theories that are easy to why humans like the ocean and the delicate crashing waves on the shore. This guy likes the ocean because of the cool windy breeze and the sound of laughter and booming waves. Also because of the everlasting smell of the salt in the ocean, and the sea spray being so light. The sun being so warm and the water being so cool makes everything perfect - just right like Goldilocks would say. She also likes the beautiful shells that lay ashore because each and every one is different. Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. This gal may also like it because the ocean is... mysterious. It's not like it's dangerous or anything. It's probably only thought of because the ocean is only doing her duty!

Umi walked out into the warm breeze to greet what was better than anything else; the ocean. She loved the ocean and every exquisite wave. The ones seen on screens were way too perfect, and the ocean was way better than perfect. She sat there on the hot sand, closing her eyes to feel how wonderful this one. Breathing in and out, in and out. "What a wonderful world," She smiled, opening her eyes up again.

Many people believe that Captain Jibby, the grand sailor of them all, was just an old folktale. No one has seen him sail, but only one bat has. His daughter, Umi. He believed that Umi had the potential to follow his footsteps. Umi enjoyed the sails around the ocean with her father. She loved it a LOT. "Dad?" Umi looked at her father. "Yes Umi?" "Why won't you let anyone see you set sail?" He shook his head. "It's because of the awkward things that can happen. People think your bragging. I'm a loyal fellow, Umi, not a snotty one."

Hey there! I'm Nami, Umi's older sibling. She's amazing and she's the only one who can share the love for sailing.I mean, Sheru and I do, too, but Umi is lucky. She watched Captain Jibby sail. CAPTAIN JIBBY! He may me my father, but he tested us to see the capability. Even MOM hasn't seen him sail! Umi is sure to be a lucky duck.

Umi is the best bat ever! I mean, I am soooooooo jealous of her like omg. qvq
But really, she is so awesome because she always spends time with me and we both share the love for the ocean. It's the best thing eva!!!!!!

Why hello there... I am the mistress of the sea, known as 'wave'. I really love how we have enthusiastic bats that love the ocean. I really appreciate it. I sometimes speak to Umi because she understands me, even if I'm only a faint whisper or a slight wave. I only speak to her. I do feel bad for Umi though. When she tells her sister, she thinks that she's crazy. Umi is the only one that understands. She's like the mistress of the sea.

Umi... She's a delicate little bat. When there was rumors of us moving, she just... started being sad. From that day on, we knew that the ocean and Umi could not be parted. We moved here when Umi was barely a few months old. She instantly jumped into the ocean, Sheru following her. We were chasing after them, thinking they would escape . But to our surprise, they were splashing about! Hmm... now you may wonder why we name her Umi, even before the ocean. Jibby and I met at the ocean shores. We both loved it so much! We decided to, if we ever had children, name our bats Sheru for 'shell', Umi for 'ocean', and Nami for 'wave'. Looks like it came true.

Nothing can beat my life. I am so lucky. I have the ocean at my feet and the warm sand smiling at me. I have the best family in the world, and the best people in the whole entire world with me at my side. I can't even explain! Why I love the ocean? Why, I've never seen anything like it. Sure, with those beautiful sights and senses, there are these horrid storms, but I prefer not to think about that. Always think about the good side of things. I believe in true luck from, both things: Making luck happen naturally and making luck happen with some lucky things. Luck is my friend. Literally. I have never left the ocean's side and I think I never will. I love to sail because it takes the ocean to the next level. I'm a very awesome gal whether you like it or not. I like to think good things and throw the bad things away because after every storm, there always is a rainbow! Can I just say that I love to see the ocean on every direction for miles? Haha... I like to joke around with my sister Sheru, and I just... I feel happy all the time. <3

"this is basically twenty questions." the berry bat sighs, rolling his eyes. "alot of other berry bats find the ocean nasty."
he sighed.
"it's a scientific fact. anyway, well, my father was a fisherman, so I sort of grew up around the ocean."
he flicked his tail, annoyingly. "if daddy hadn't of skedaddled, maybe i wouldn't feel so guilty about loving it."

he flicked his tail again."my dad, he was a fisherman, and my mam wasn't employed then.
we barely scraped up enough food to last us each week, but i'll never forget the day that he did it."
caspain looked pained. "he - he and mam were having a big fight. mam was holding me close,
yelling things at him, saying things i don't remember, along the lines of 'i won't let you take my boy.'
then he clawed her, right across the cheek, and as she screamed, he grabbed me
and he ran away."
caspian sighs.
"i haven't seen my mother since then."
