Sarah closed her eyes and listened to the sound of his slow breathing. Eventually, she was lulled off to sleep.

Cecilie looked around the house, frowning. "Jack? Have you seen the birthday boy?"

Jack looked at her. "No, I just got home a few minutes ago. Why?"

Cecilie's frown deepened. "We was supposed to come home from school so we could go out for dinner."

"Did you call?" He asked.

"Yeah, about four times. He's not answering." Cecilie bit her lip. "He was supposed to be home with Sarah almost two hours ago."

Jack sighed. "Did you try Sarah?"

"Twice." Cecilie bit her lip. "Something's wrong, Jack. I can feel it."

"Come here," he said and hugged her. "Try Kris."

[twofrogsinacoat]

Cecilie hugged him back tightly. "Okay. I'll go try her." She turned and found the phone, then dialed Kris's phone number.

Kris picked up. "Hello?"
