born and raised in boston, phillip lived a relatively easy life growing up, thanks to the abundance of money his parents had. he always got what he wanted, whether it be the toy model of a murciélago LP 640 roadster, a sailboat, or a puppy. if he asked with his eyes wide, he would usually get rewarded. even though phillip was very spoiled, he never let it get to his head and was always polite and caring to others. when phillip was 12, his father, phillip thames pierce II, died tragically at sea. phillip was completely devastated at his fathers death, which sent him into a spiral of emotions. his mother didn't know how to handle these emotions properly, and phillip wound up being short tempered and hot headed, instead of the calm and loving kid he was before. he didn't rebel against his mother, but he sure got angry at her. when he was 16, the got into a very heated argument and it ended in phillip hitting his mother in the face. because of this incident, his mother was forced to send phillip to live with his uncle near trinity high school. phillip still hasn't fully accepted trinity high and can seem cold and unapproachable at times, but the people he has befriended know he is actually nice... sometimes.

with an intense bone headed personality and brawny physic to back it up, rory is a hard boy to control. his intense opinions can almost never be refuted, whether or not he is right. intimidation comes easy to rory who just uses his towering frame, deep eyes, and unamused gaze to make many quake in their boots. it sure worked on the scientists. while his chisled cheekbones and puppy brown eyes may not seem powerful, rory's personality makes up for it. one judging look from rory can make goosebumps crawl up the skin of others. while he's an unlikely fighter, rory takes his position very seriously. he aims to keep the group safe whether that involves using fists or not. he is loyal to the group, but will often suffer mood swings that result in him snapping at group members. rory does have a temper, which is shown when he is upset. even though he has a lot stacked against him, rory can become very caring if he opens up to someone.
