Her words hurt, even if they made him feel warm. "Tempest...." he said quietly, and he heard the pained note in his words before they even fell from his mouth, he closed his violet eyes and he tried to ignore the scent of apricots and the feel of her so close, her nose in his fur. The truth was that they could -- it wouldn't hurt anybody, would it? And Shadow didn't have to know... His tenseness melted away once she asked the second time, and he turned just enough that he could drape one wing over her back and pull her close to his side. "Okay. I'll have Venus make your bracelets," he said after a long moment of silence, opening his violet eyes to look down at her.
"The sun will not wait forever, dear Tempest," he told her with a small smile, half wanting to run -- this was precisely what he had left this pack to get away from -- and half wanting to never leave the pale-pelted fae's side ever again. He began walking in the direction of a field, where his sister's partner waited for the two of them to arrive.
Dusk's Twilight
Dusk / 2 1\2 / Shalbriri Pack / Delta Female / Darkness ; Fire ; Spirit
Dusk curled her tail against herself in her den, listening to the soft breathing of her brother, who lay on a bed of deerskins at the back of the den, where she and he usually curled against each other to sleep at night. Fire was resting, she knew, he'd done something -- he hadn't clarified, and she hadn't pried -- that had drained his energy so much that he slept much more often than he usually did. She could tell that he was getting stronger again, but he was still regaining his energy. She just hoped that nothing happened that would require too much of his abilities anytime soon.
The dark-furred fae rose to all fours and cast her forest green gaze back to her brother for a long moment, contemplating on whether it would be safe or not to leave him here by himself. Shadow had gone out -- 'just for a run', he'd said -- and Dumah was probably with James, which meant that no one was here to watch over him in her absence. She relented after that moment of thought. Fire could defend himself just as well as she could, and she doubted anyone would come here specifically for him, and most of the village's hunters had no clue about where their denning area was... Yes, he would he safe, she decided.
Dusk collected herself, shook her dark pelt out, and then set off at a lope into the forest, toward the lake. It felt nice to have the wind in her fur, even if she was running alone.
