Ok no, I don't think its a cocoon, just a really cool shape.
I personally like the teal with the pink, because the ghost-like wings would lend themselves very nicely to 2nd gens.

But on the other hand, the transparent belly cavity could be awesome if a child had a pink or clear one.

Oooh, I love these two pairings.
I didn't particularly like the pink one to start off with when it came out, but I love the green mask and pink glass pair! They go so well together! (and actually makes me like the pink one yay)
I love the genderbent option too. <3
For the secound gen pair I think either of these two pairs would be good. I'd be very sad if there was a different pairing (like the pink glass and teal mask together :c ).
