What is a Faiid?
Faiidae are like a mixture of a fox and feline. They have feathers on their shoulders and tail tips, as well as solar plates on the bridge of their nose, neck, and flank. These plates absorb energy from the sun, which powers the Faiid. Faiidae do not eat, instead using a method similar to photosynthesis to nurture them. Faiidae have personalities ranging from sweet and shy to ruthless and cold- the possibilities are endless! Will you be able to tame a Faiid of your own?

What is their prized possession?
When they are born, their parents give them a little crescent moon jewel talisman that hangs from their tail. Each young Faiid has a different color one. His is purple. They each have a way of collecting sunlight so they may live at night as well as day or in case of emergencies. The jewels will start as a silvery white then turn full color when they reach a year old.

A wooden staff strung with colourful feathers and beads dangling off of it, he found it near a village, and took it. It is tiny, due to wear and tear, so he is able to carry it in his mouth when he moves from place to place. It is his most prized possession because it basically grew up with him, it is a security blanket so to speak, it calms him when he is upset or angry. It may seem silly, but to Adisa it is truly the most important thing in his life.

Where were they born? He was born in the endless depths of grasslands in South Africa

His prized possession is a little metal compass one of the tourists dropped from a Safari car because he always feels safe knowing which direction he is facing or walking, because when he was a cub he got lost in the grasslands and when he found the compass it helped him return home to his tribe, now he never goes anywhere without it.
