Hey guys. I searched a bit on this topic but didn't fond a whole lot considering the purple sortic. It went VR long before the white one, and they seem to both have healthy demand....sorry if I'm way off base guys.

My vote is a no, it hasn't even been VR for a year. It went last April.

The Blue Merle Aussie PPS is / was discussed (?) , the Red Aussie PPS isn't rare enough for being on this list.

I am kinda confused about the one non-list rat of July '08.
I found it as Christmas rat, but when was it originally released? July or Christmas '08?
Because if I am not blind I didn't find a July one anywhere (maybe a mistake in the archive?).

Could somebody tell me what's going on with this rat?

It was released in both July 08 and Christmas 08.

The non-holiday-themed pets from Christmas 08 (the huge dog and rat litters) were originally released in April, May, and June 2008, but CS did not have an account system back then (they were just adoptable images with no owner name or anything), so those pets were released during the Advent Calendar.

One of those pets looked extremely similar to the brown hooded rat released in July 08 (they were different, but not by much; you'd pretty much need to use an eyedropper tool to see the difference), so Tess just released that July 08 rat in place of the original pre-July rat.

Maybe the very rare 09 lion should be added? It has a fairly good demand just not huge bit still.

If you want anything added I suggest posting trades to back up how good of demand you're saying it has. It's helpful to see.

I know it's demand isnt good, but when it came out i traded mine for an 08 rare (not 2nd gen), when i asked if it was a good trade, i had been told i was scammed by many people.
It went Vr in 2010 i believe? and has always been hard to find. I can't remember the adopt limit though.

This is a good one to put on here imo, I almost never see them. I'm almost 100% sure the adoption limit was 1 per person, making them even harder to find.

"St. Patrick’s Day Dog" went VR in October 2011. Most of the Advent 2008 dogs (the big non-holiday-themed litter, aka the pre-july dogs) went VR in March 2011, 7 months before.

Other pets for comparison (raw numbers only; circulation and active users vs. inactive users are not reflected):

"Watermelon Dog" and "Boar PPS" went VR in March 2011 (in a separate rarity update right before the majority of the 08 Advent dogs).

"Red Rose Dog", "Tiger Rat" (a Sept 08 rat), and "Pink Mini Husky" went VR in May 2011. Geez, the rarity system was so bad back then xD I guess it sorta helped a tiny bit with determining the raw number of pets available, though. Did nothing to help with how many pets were with active users, of course xD

"Dark Wood Dog" went VR in June 2011.

"Target Dog" went VR in August 2011.

"Null PPS" and "Gold Robot Dog" (January 2009!) went VR in March 2012. (Gold Robot might have more demand than the St. Patrick's Day 09 dog, but I think that the fact that the Gold Robot--which is older--turned VR 5 months later shows that the St Patrick's Day 09 dog is rarer than the Gold Robot and that the adoption limit had a significant impact on the St. Patrick's Day 09 dog's technical availability. Not sure about how many of each are in circulation right now, of course, but still.)

I third the St Patty's dog. It is hard to come by and equally hard to trade for when you see someone with it. It has been pretty limited all these years, and rarer than some of these others we have mentioned. So hence, I back it.

those dogs are some of my favorites and I've been seeking a second one for some time now and it's quite hard to find them. When I so find them they are often not for trade and locked up, or the person only wants a really good offer.
It might not have the greatest demand in terms of how many people want it, but those that do will pay well for them.
As well, you can see by when it turned very rare that it actually has rarity and not just a fluke.

So I agree with having them put onto this list.
