Kidambura #51 [Winner]

Postby HannahBug » Wed Mar 26, 2014 3:36 pm

What is a Kidambura?
A Kidambura is a tall wolf-like creature with long ears and lynx tufts at the end. the markings under their eyes are called streaks, and they will always match their eye dot. they also have abnormal large pupils. they have long mussels and a fury mouth to go with, despite that in some cases the Kidambura can have horns, they can come in any shape. with a long neck they have fuzzy manes that can also come in any shape, (or size) and even rarely be made of elements. with long legs, body, and tail it helps the Kida's run faster. one thing you can note is that a kida will always have a animal pattern. their tails have a small tuft at the rump that leads of into a long brisk tail much like a kangaroo that has a tuft of fur at the end.

Those are bandanas or something around the ears, if you couldn't tell -w-
I'm sorry I keep making these dramatic ones, but the forms are so fun >w<
For this one, you have to write/draw why this Kida looks so scared.
You're welcome to do whatever you want with the form~
Please only enter if you're going to finish you form
It doesn't have to be so complicated you can't finish it. Quality over quantity, after all OwO
Ends on the 7th, maybe?

    What happened to make them so scared? ;;
    Agatha was a scare-target ever since her childhood. The poor Kida had a bad case of Panophobia, the fear of everything. And she meant it, too. She was so easily surprised that she earned the nickname 'Scaredy-Cat.' She had no actual friends, just acquaintances who enjoyed bullying her whenever they got the chance to do so. Her lack of friends and socialization turned her into a quiet, self-conscious Kidambura who never spoke to anyone.

    She was isolated. She hated everyone, and reached a point of great depression. One day, she decided to take her daily walk. Despite knowing that these walks would lead her into trouble and uncontrollable fear, she pressed on to face them each day. This time, a rogue Kida approached her and smacked her with his tail. Agatha, who wasn't expecting the sudden attack, spun on her heels and reared. The other Kida was gone, and all Agatha could hear was his mocking laughter.

    Crying on the inside, Agatha bit back a shaky retort and held her tears back. She whined quietly, afraid that more Kidas would jump out of the bushes and scare her even more. Even the prospect of it was horrifying. Petrified, the female Kida ran home with her tail streaming behind her. Agatha galloped faster than she usually would, and all around her were the sympathizing faces of the kinder Kidas who lived near her.

    From that day on, Agatha saw Kidas as two different kinds: the kinds who hated her and the ones who pitied her. She was both a laughingstock and a sight to feel bad for. Sighing, Agatha blinked her bright amber eyes. She tied bandanas over her ears in hope of concealing the taunts she never wanted to hear. She hardly went outside again. And, as usual, she had no friends to meet. She was just... alone. Nothing kept her company except for the moon, the stars, and the sun.

    The sun shone with inviting golden rays that warmed Agatha. Her fur was ruffled, but she hoped to see the sun more often. And what was the sun, anyway? A majestic ball of the brightest flames, a crescendo of explosions right before her eyes. A phenomenon that brought light and hope to to even the darkest of one's days. Agatha kept watching the sun. And yet, she thought, not even your beauty is eternal. For when the sun sets and its rays are no more, and the world is plunged into darkness, there was nothing left but the moon.

    Ah! The great wonders of the night. Agatha began to see things in a new perspective, for the moon was nothing like the sun, and yet they both illuminated the world. For what was night without the moon, and what was the moon without the stars? The skies would become a shadow, a curtain draped over one's hopes and wishes. The moon, a disc of light that shone coldness, a silver gray that would never match the brilliance of the sun. But if the moon knew that it was no match for the Golden Lord sun, why did it still shine as the Emperor of the Night?

    Because of the stars, Agatha thought. For even in loneliness, the Emperor of the Night would still show up, for he had the company of a thousand empresses. Each star was an empress, and each one had a name. The Empress of the North, to name one. The brightest star that constantly appeared, one that never moved, for the Emperor of the Night loved her dearly. Agatha wondered what love was like, to make the Northern Empress star stay loyal to the Moon Emperor of the Night. She, the Empress of the North, was simply there. Even when the Golden Lord sun shone, too bright for the Northern Empress to show herself, she still waited for the rise of her beloved Moon Emperor.

    Such beauty made Agatha hold her breath. There was so much mystique in the realm above her. And if the skies were so magical, what about the Earth? For Mother Nature and Father Time ruled them, there were few stories to tell about. The Earth was dull, but outer space was indeed magnificent. For once, Agatha had a new wish, a wish that shimmered and shone. She wished to have friends, like the Emperor Moon who had the empresses to keep him company.

    Was Agatha the sun? For she, like the Golden Lord, had no friends. The Golden Lord sun could have had the company of the empresses, but his light blotted them out so that the world could only see him, not the empresses. But the Moon Emperor was kind enough to allow his empresses to shine, so that his sky was a share between them and him. Agatha couldn't be like the Golden Lord. She may have kept her own little world to herself, but now it was time to open up. She had to be like the kind Emperor of the Night, the moon.

    The skies were indeed full of myth and mystery, and in the end, that was what scared Agatha. Could she nurse her little world and let it grow, so that she could allow new friends? It was impossible to turn the day sky into the night sky if you were the sun, so why was Agatha even trying? Every other Kida saw her as a low-ranked female, so why bother? Maybe from now on, Agatha had to be the sun. Was Agatha going to be the Lone Lady, a female lord who had no friends in her world, an isolated young Kida who would continue to live without knowing the love or comfort of a family? The sun went through it, but he was a mighty lord, and the Kida was but a little lady. She had no stars to get to know with. There was no way for her to start. Her world was the sky, but it was empty, with not even a cloud. Agatha began to cry again, a tiny puddle forming under her feet.

    Agatha was afraid of having no friends.

    Other ;;
    My story was meant to be greatly metaphorical, with the following connotations:
    'Golden Lord' as the sun.

    'Emperor of the Night, Night Emperor, Moon Emperor' as the moon.

    'Empresses' as the stars.

    'Empress of the North, Northern Empress' as the Northern Star.
