"No, Jayje...just..." Sarah said in defeat. She bit her lip when her voice cracked and looked down. Well there was no way he wouldn't notice now. Deciding it wasn't worth it to hide anymore, she lifted her head and looked at him. Tear stains coated her cheeks as a fresh one slipped over them.

He sighed and pulled into her house and got out then went to her side. "Come on, baby," he said, opening his arms. Her dad wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Sarah sniffled and climbed from the car. When he opened his arms, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
