Sunpaw narrowed his golden eyes at his mother, but obeyed, gathering feathers.
Secretstar felt hunger tugg at her belly. Standing, she padded out to the kill pile, then back to her den with a mouse. When she took a bite of it, it did have an odd taste and tough meat, but she paid no attention and carried on eating.
(And so she becomes deceased..)
