Kris walked with them quietly.

"Take a seat," one of them said, gesturing to a single chair in the middle of the room.

Kris sat down and sighed.

One of them left, leaving a single cop in the room with her. He set down a manila file on a desk in front of Kris and sighed. "Where were you on the day of the murder?"

Kris sighed. "I was at home, up in my room. I was looking for hotels in Rome."

"So you were in the home at the time of the murder?" the cop asked.

"Yes sir," he said.

"And what happened next?" the cop asked.

[bibliophile;]

"Well, Luke sat by me and asked if I found anythibg, then I heard Grandma scream. So I ran down and therr she was," she whimpered.

"So you were in the same house at the time of the murderer and ran downstairs, but you didn't see any sign of a killer?" the cop asked skeptically.
