The cop stepped forward. "Kristyna Hemingway, you're under arrest for the murder of Alanna Mullering." As he spoke, he handcuffed her. He read her the Miranda Rights, then began to escort her out to his squad car.

Luke's eyes grew wide. "Arrest- murder- what?!" He hurried after them. "Officer, this is a huge mistake. My wife did not kill her."

Kris frowned. "What? But I didn't kill her!"

"I'm just following orders," the cop said, then got her into the car.

Luke threw his hands in the air. "But she didn't do it! Sir, you have to believe me!" The cops ignored him. Once Kris and the two of them were in the car, they drove away, leaving a dumbfounded Luke in the driveway.

Kris sighed, watching Luke out the window. "I didn't do it."

The cop just cleared his throat. "Listen, we're going to take you in for some interrogation, alright? We're just going to ask you a few questions."

Kris sighed. "Okay," she saud though she knew what was to happen. They'd push until they got what they wanted.

One of the cops nodded. "Just cooperate and everything will go smoothly."

The cops brought her into the station and led her to a separate room.
